Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Chicago

Great hotel but it is closing down. Be careful while making reswrvations

Great breakfast, attentive staff, and clean room. However, cigarette smoke from other rooms enters through the bathroom duct and makes everything smell bad.

I'll start with the positives - location is AWESOME! Our room (the 2Q suite) was very spacious (felt like an apartment with all the amenities). The room's furniture/cleanliness was good. The views (16th floor) were amazing. It was very quiet at night and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was decent (freshly scrambled REAL eggs and Canadian bacon, waffles and the typical yogurt, granola, toast, EM, etc.). The price we paid for what we received was excellent! There were a few flaws, however, but not bad enough to make me not want to go back: The hotel lobby/common areas are very small. The breakfast area could accommodate a max of 2 floors worth of guests, so there is usually a wait to sit on a table and often, you need to share with other guests. Also, there were only 2 elevators, one of which fit 6 ppl max for the 25+ floors. We had to wait close to 10 min to go up/down during the busy times. If we weren't on the 16th floor, we would have taken the stairs more often but that proved to be quite the task! Our room had a bad smell and it took hours of fresh air to get rid of it. Also, the previous guests' garbage was never removed, even after I notified the front desk (the room was clean otherwise). Lastly, there is a full kitchen but limited silver/dinnerware and no dish soap/sponge, etc.

Good hotel, really big rooms. The downside is only lack of place to stop the car and unload!

Nice place

It was located in a great location. Close to parking and excellent for ride share pickup. As you can see, it was very comfortable and worth the money

Nice hotel with spacious rooms. The only bad thing I can say is that it needs some updating. The staff was very nice.
