Valley River Inn

Great. Hotel in a quiet area on the river. River walk accessible from the back of the lobby. Clean comfortable rooms. Front desk is very helpful and nice .

Sit on the patio, great view of the river, fantastic food, great drinks, highly recommend a lemon drop.

We were gifted a weekend trip to the Valley River Inn. We can not say enough about our great experience with the Hotel They put us in a double queen room facing the beautiful Willamette River. The room was exquisite and everything you could want and enjoy. Every staff member from the front desk to the cleaning maids were very gracious and helpful. We ate at the “Sweet Waters” resturant, the meals were delicious, the service couldn’t have been better, and the prices very reasonable! Again we were seated to view the beautiful river. They have a corner in the lobby where you can purchase local made popped kettle corn, plus many other food choices. Don’t pass up an opportunity to stay at this beautiful Hotel.

My stay at the Valley River Inn was fabulous! The room was spotless when I checked in and I really enjoyed the view of the river. The food and drink were excellent but the best part of my stay was the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. Front desk, restaurant and bar staff and the banquet team were all great.

The property is clean and well maintained with close proximity to food and shopping. However I feel the customer service puts them into the excellent category. Throughout my stay the staff has been extremely kind, accommodating and attentive. Everybody has addressed my silly problems, like my daughters fighting about having to share a bed, with care and they quickly found a remedy that had myself and my daughters thrilled. I couldn’t ask for better service than what I’ve experienced here. Highly, highly recommend.

Absolutely terrible experience. We arrived around 2 AM after driving for 5 hours, exhausted and just hoping to finally check in and rest. Instead, the receptionist, Josh, left us waiting at the front desk for over 10 minutes while he was sitting in the bathroom watching reels on his phone. No apology, no urgency, no professionalism whatsoever. When I politely asked if they could match the Expedia price I had literally seen just an hour or two earlier while driving there, he immediately refused and basically said he couldn’t help with anything. Most hotels at least try to accommodate guests or offer some kind of solution — especially in the middle of the night after a long drive. Josh showed absolutely zero customer service skills and acted like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. What made it even worse is that we ended up not being able to check in at all and were essentially forced to leave and find another place to stay in the middle of the night. Completely unacceptable. The owners seriously need to pay attention to the staff representing this property. It’s such a beautiful place, but the customer service is beyond awful and completely ruins the experience. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would.

My stay at the Valley River Inn was absolutely wonderful. General Manager Jenny and her entire team took such thoughtful care of us from the moment we arrived. Mike at the front desk was incredibly welcoming, and really set the tone of the experience. Ben and the restaurant team made every interaction feel warm and personal. The property itself is beautiful - peaceful river views, lovely grounds, and the rooms are perfectly balanced between comfort and style. Dining at Sweet Waters on the River was a highlight of the visit. The food, atmosphere, and riverside setting were all exceptional. The hospitality was so genuine, and I left feeling truly cared for and can’t wait to return. Thank YOU!

Everything from check-in to thoughtful touches in the room to a eating dinner and sipping wine by the beautiful setting riverside, the experience was outstanding!

Stayed here for a conference. The bed in my room was comfortable. Great staff too!

What a great experience! I spent three day at Valley River in for a conference. Jennifer, Ben and their entire teams were fantastic from start to finish! What an amazing property for conferences, or for a relaxing get away! I look forward to returning again soon.

My company hosted our annual conference at this beautiful hotel and my experience was absolutely remarkable. The newly renovated spaces from top to bottom, were top notch! The food, excellent. But the stand out was truly the staff. This team knows how to take care of you! They were attentive, thoughtful, kind, anticipatory, and truly embody what customer service should look like in a hotel venue. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a hotel to hold their company's event, large or small, that you look at this hotel! It's truly a gem in the heart of Eugene!
