Crowne Plaza Lombard Downers Grove, an IHG Hotel

You do have to fight commuter traffic - both ways - if you are staying here and venturing into the city, but the pleasant staff, clean rooms and beautiful pool make it well worth it, not to mention the very reasonable price. Breakfast menu was delicious and had multiple gluten free options.

Locations is great! The rooms are neat but the place is worn down.

Meh. Hard beds. Dated rooms. Peeling wallpaper, missing drawer hardware, small rooms, more people than I can remember blazing up in the parking lot. Hard pass.

Everyone was super nice! They were very helpful and accommodating. We were there for our son’s wedding and decided to stay an extra day and they were able to squeeze us in for an extra day at the end of our (originally planned stay.) they provided us with extra towels and bottled water. The restaurant that is attached was also good and the waitress/manager was very helpful suggesting food and drinks.

Just beautiful this is myself and husband's mini getaway when we just need a break from home.

It was a lovely room, lots of space, a couple small couches, desk, an extra chair. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom very clean and nice. There was a Keurig in the room with coffee and tea pods. Oh, and I got a bag with 2 water bottles complementary when checking in and breakfast vouchers. The restaurant breakfast was great. They had a menu with several options.I had scrambled eggs and bacon with yummy coffee, so good! I definitely recommend.

The hotel itself is ok. The problem I have is with their customer service. They place a hold on your account for incidentals which I get. And I do not have an issue with. The problem I have is that we stayed March 13th and the hold is on our account until APRIL 24th!!!!! I spoken with several people from their location and they say they have nothing to do with it. It has to do with their processing company. The hold comes from their services. The banks we use have nothing g to do with it and they can’t take holds off. So now even though just $50 I have to wait over 30 days because of their screw up to have access to my money. Will not use them every again
