Life Hotel New York

I’ve stayed here twice and this time I booked a studio room which looked exactly the same as the entry level king room I booked originally. I was told “talk to management about it” and nothing came from it. I understand it’s a historic building but in no way it should be labeled as a 4 star hotel. It’s all smoke and mirrors. The AC unit is insanely loud and never turned off, the tub would not hold water, the rooms just look tired and there’s zero view which is fine as I already was expecting that What really upset me and I will never return is how horrible the service was, the $70 “resort fee” as well as the horrendous “free breakfast” was which is literally a crappy cup of coffee and nothing else. They didn’t even have ice Location is great but I will never return.

Extremely average hotel in a very good location. Don’t stay in room 301, as there is no window except for a small opaque box that you can’t open (pictures). It feels like being in a basement, and you can’t get any fresh air. Bed is comfortable, room was sufficiently clean, and it’s a good location.

Rooms were comfortable and classy. The lounge bar was comfy and served hotel’s free coffee with view of street. Design was beautiful. During my stay I had to spend a few hours in hospital after fainting from dehydration. Really needed a meal when released but kitchen had closed. Managers made sure I received a full meal which was above and beyond. Sent waters up to room and made sure I was ok. This is my go to spot in the future.

Great location for getting to and from Penn Station/MSG. Walkable to area attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, updated decor, could use a little more/better lighting in the room. Nice bar in the lobby with plenty of seating. Would stay again. Emanie and Rick at the front desk were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

This was my second time staying at the Life Hotel while traveling for work, and it was another great experience. The location is fantastic and super easy to get to, which makes a big difference when you're traveling for business. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful restaurant and bar, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Chris, who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied throughout my stay. Since this was only my second time visiting New York, he made a point of helping me have the best possible experience in the city and offered to help in any way he could to make my stay better. His hospitality really stood out. I highly recommend the Life Hotel — great location, beautiful space, and a team that genuinely cares about making your stay a good one.

This place rocks. Chris and Moira made me feel welcome and accommodated. The bar was poppin for the World Cup. The room was pristine. The hotel is centrally located. 5 stars, especially for the staff.

Chris is the man. Couldn’t have gotten a better man up front with his kindness and and going out of his way to help us out.

Had a wonderful stay at Life Hotel New York! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The location is very convenient for exploring the city. I also loved the bar on the first floor — a great place to relax after a busy day. An added bonus is the fitness room, which was clean and well-equipped. Overall, everything was excellent, and I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HOTEL its so cozy and so accommodating during this past heat wave they let me check in early to cool down and be comfortable before i went out with friends, i never caught the names but the two men at the front are so kind and helpful, i will always be staying at this hotel any time i come into the city its so close to wonderful food shopping centers etc! Highly highly recommend
