Collins Beach (Sauvie Island)

Collins Beach is the clothing-optional stretch on the northwest side of Sauvie Island, about 40 minutes north of downtown Portland along the Columbia River. Nude since the 1970s, its northern end has long drawn a gay and LGBTQ+ crowd and is one of only two nude beaches close to the city. A Sauvie Island parking permit (about $10/day) is required, and the area is open roughly 4am to 10pm. Bring everything you need, as there are limited facilities and no services on the beach itself.
