Residence Inn by Marriott Syracuse Downtown at Armory Square

Nice large spacious room. Although a bit outdated. Also when did Marriott start using half pillows to sleep on. Not very comfortable. The breakfast morning food was less desirable. Pancakes that were as hard as a rock and fried eggs that tasted horrible. Also the toasters took forever to toast!!! Although the oatmeal and goodies were amazing. Lots of fun things to add to your oatmeal. I would give the breakfast a negative 1. The oatmeal 5.

Overall great experience. Front desk staff were very friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. Some of the ceiling tiles in the room looked like they needed replacing but room was nice overall. Paid parking garage (space seemed somewhat limited). Lots of noise outside from nearby nightlife - not the hotel’s fault but be aware if you have kids or are a light sleeper. I stayed on a Saturday night so it might be different on a weeknight. I would stay here again.

Hotel and staff are top notch. Noise across street at bars gets worse on weekends but absolutely not the hotels fault. They apologized and offered to make up for it anyway. Great place.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel! Every worker we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and went above-and-beyond to make our experience pleasant. The room was very clean and had so many amenities. Bathtub was very nice. TV can do YouTube and Netflix or regular TV. Pool and gym were super nice. The breakfast was amazing. I’ve never had such a nice continental breakfast. Plenty of accessible parking around.

Location location location. Well they’ve nailed the location but the hotel is confusing. They are connected to a sister hotel and utilize their front desk to save money and not operate theirs. The rooms were well laid out with a good workstation setup. Parking was available but they penny pinch and charge you to park which is ridiculous. Breakfast was terrible, food was soggy and bland.

Fantastic location near many restaurants, pubs and bars !

(Coming from an experienced Front desk Representative with years of working in the industry) Let me first start off by saying the staff here are amazingly kind. Love Hannah, Kourtney and the housekeeper that helped us out! Also the bistro was amazing I had there breakfast bowl and it was delicious 😋 Now as far as the rooms…eh as in ahh’s lol I say that as yucky as I can. We stayed on the top floor (7th) and our ceiling had visible water damage/mildew and our mattress had stains. Everything made us uncomfortable. Sleep was not the best due to waking up to headaches in the morning . Given this hotel has only been open for 12 years there are clear indications that the rooms are overdue for a renovation. Sagging beds, out dated lighting, and shower heads. Visible mildew This was a last min trip my husband and I decided on for the holiday weekend. The Reviews sounded good but unfortunately our experience was not. After being on hold for a while they finally decided to go ahead and move us to the 2nd floor which was better but the tv remote still wasn’t working same as the 1st room we stayed in.
