Hotel Des Colonies

We had a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The room was beautiful and, above all, very well located in relation to Brussels North Station and the center of Brussels, where we were able to walk everywhere. A big thank you to Rudy and Vincent for their hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is ideal, the setting is lovely and pleasant, and the room was cozy and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome at reception from Rudy and Vincent, who were professional, friendly, and helpful in guiding us as we explored the city. A varied breakfast was served in a pleasant room. We highly recommend this hotel and will gladly return.

Hotel near Gare du Nord, convenient when arriving from the airport or other Belgian train stations. The main shopping street is just steps away, and the Grand Place is less than a 10-minute walk. The room was large and very well decorated. The king-size bed was super comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Thanks to Vincent who took care of our arrival and also to Shourad for giving us great tips for our visits. We'd definitely stay again!

Good, friendly service. Located right on a central square with a metro station. The North Station is within walking distance, and the Grand Place is a 20-minute walk or a quick metro ride away. The hotel was built in 1903 and renovated in the 1950s. It still retains its old-world charm. The room was standard. You have to like this hotel and Brussels (😃) to enjoy it, otherwise, it's best to avoid it.

Tiny, not particularly clean rooms, lack of decent lighting, and a very subpar breakfast for €20. No minibar; if you arrive thirsty, you'll die of thirst. No restaurant; if you arrive hungry, no options around. Far from the city center. €170 a night for what?

The location is ideal in the city center, close to restaurants and the metro is right across the street. There was no problem with the accommodation.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel des Colonies! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with recommendations around Brussels. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is perfect—close to public transport and within walking distance of major attractions. I’d definitely stay here again!

Conveniently located near Noord station.

The hotel is well located. The building is new, elegant, and modern. The rooms are large and very spacious. They have air conditioning, a TV, WiFi, and an en-suite bathroom. A hairdryer and towels are provided. The breakfast is extensive and varied. The only downside, in my case, was that after one night's stay, the room wasn't cleaned or the towels changed. I'm not sure I should have reported this to reception. Then, on the second day, the water was slightly warm, not exactly hot. All in all, an excellent option for visiting Brussels. The reception is open 24/7, and they speak mainly French and English. No Italian.
