Spiaggia degli Alberoni

Alberoni is the beach at the southern tip of the Lido di Venezia, facing the open Adriatic. The stretch behind the dunes is the lagoon's long-standing gay and naturist beach, with discreet cruising in the pinewood behind it. The area sits inside the WWF-managed Oasi Dune degli Alberoni, so access is free but dunes are protected and some nesting areas are fenced off. Take a vaporetto to the Lido, then the bus to the Alberoni terminus and walk through the trees. There are no facilities on the gay stretch, so bring water and shade. Busiest on summer weekend afternoons. Stay off fenced dune areas and keep activity out of sight of families on the main beach.
