Queer Cafe

Queer Cafe on Șoseaua Hîncești is a community space rather than a commercial nightclub. It is one of the very few openly queer venues in Moldova. Listings describe a mix of cafe hours, parties, film screenings, a book club, workshops and discussion groups, run by a local LGBTQ+ association. It reportedly reopened in 2024 after community crowdfunding. The programme changes week to week and opening hours are not fixed, so check the Instagram account (@queercafe.md) or queercafe.md before you go. For a visitor this is the most practical place to meet Chișinău's queer community. Public attitudes in Moldova are still conservative, so be discreet on the way in and out.
