Heroes Sauna in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, is a gay sauna with a dry sauna, Turkish steam bath, whirlpool, and private showers.
It’s a dedicated space for gay and queer travelers looking for a place to relax and meet people. Think of it as a low-key social club with steam.
You’ll find free private cabins and a massage room with a masseur on staff. If you’re into it, there’s a cruisy shower wall; if not, there are private showers. They even throw foam parties sometimes.
Gay saunas are a fixture for LGBTQ+ visitors to Gran Canaria, a chill alternative to the usual tourist spots. They’re usually pretty relaxed, a good place to unwind, and often less expensive than a resort spa. Always worth checking their hours and any special events before you go, since things change with the seasons.

We really enjoyed our time here. Staff friendly. Clean and modern facilities.
Great place! It's very clean, and the staff are very friendly. I'll definitely go back on my next trip to Gran Canaria!
Yesterday, I visited this sauna for the first time. As the owner of a bar myself, I was curious to discover the place and see it with my own eyes. Honestly, I really do not understand the amount of negative comments and the way some people are attacking a brand-new business like this. First of all, people need to understand something: this is Gran Canaria, not another country in Europe. Finding a large enough venue in Maspalomas is extremely difficult, and the licensing and administrative requirements here are very complicated. So reading endless complaints about things like the absence of a hammam, without understanding the reality of opening a business on this island, feels unfair and honestly quite disrespectful. Some of the comments I have read are completely exaggerated and unnecessary. Constructive criticism is one thing, but trying to destroy a new business from the beginning is something else entirely. As for the sauna itself, I personally found it very nice. The two owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the place is actually very well done. You can clearly see the effort, passion, and investment behind it. People should sometimes try supporting new businesses instead of attacking them for every little detail.
Super friendly, impeccably clean, international clientele
