About this place Lawrence House Hotel

Lawrence House Hotel is a small guesthouse on General Street in central Blackpool, listed in our data as an LGBTQ venue. It sits between the North Pier and Talbot Road, a few minutes on foot from the bars and clubs of Blackpool's gay village. It is a traditional seaside guesthouse rather than a full-service hotel, so expect a handful of rooms and a cooked breakfast rather than a pool or spa. Reviews are excellent, though from a small sample (5.0 from about 60). Book early for Blackpool's busy weekends, including Pride in June and the Illuminations season in autumn.

Features

Gay Mixed LGBTQ+ Card payments accepted WiFi Year-round Gay-friendly (straight venue)

First time at the lovely Lawrence House Hotel and it won’t be our last. Everything from the first welcome was fantastic. Impeccably clean throughout. Bedroom was lovely, very well equipped with tea/coffee facilities and a mini bar. Location perfect, 5 minute walk to the seafront and about 10/15 minute walk to the bars and restaurants. Lovely and quiet at night. A true gem of a place. Wayne was the perfect host and a great cook!!!! Hope to see you again, Steve & Andy 🌞

Finally, at long last, I have found a place to call home whenever I visit Blackpool! I've been a devout Blackpool visitor almost every year since I was 18 years old, it's a place that I hold very dear. However, I've never been able to find a hotel spot to consider a second home until now. Thank the heavens I found this wonderful place! The host is nothing short of wonderful - Welcoming, warm, informative, professional and such a good cook! I instantly felt at ease and even sat and had a good old chinwag with him. The room was...wow. SPOTLESS, beautiful colours, super comfy bed, and every single thing you can think of has been thought of. Hear me out coffee lovers - You know those Nescafe strips of coffee that ends up involving teeth to get the damn things open? They've got you. Little scissors. They are unbelievably attentive and I just love that about them. While I didn't eat here, they cook lovely homemade meals upon request and their breakfast is to die for. It's situated at the quieter end of Blackpool but it's not too far from the hustle and bustle. I am thrilled to bits and will be a devout regular moving forward If you want inclusivity, cleanliness, kindness and a warming stay then stop scrolling and book with Lawrence House Hotel. There's a reason why they dont need to compete on Booking.com and other comparison sites, they are so good people keep coming back and book them out all year long. Wishing you both every success with your beautiful business.

I have just spent a supurb 8 day break staying at Lawrence House. It felt very much home from home & Wayne is a supurb host & chef, as had most of my evening meals in as well as a tasty breakfast … my favourite was ‘The Lawrence House Special’ ! I’d totally recommend a stay here … like most guests l had late nights at Manbar & The Flying Handbag combined with days out but there were a couple of evenings it was great just to chill in the bar area after an evening meal. With Very Best Wishes to Wayne & Peter

This is by far my favourite little hotel in Blackpool. The rooms were very well equipped, immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast choice was great, no wonder the hotel has a Breakfast Award. I would really recommend having an evening meal here too which is hearty and home made. Wayne went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we will return.

Really enjoyed the stay - great breakfasts, nice room with comfy bed, good sized bathroom - easy distance from the pubs/clubs and close to the front, yet nice and quiet. Great.
