It looks glamorous on the outside, but the room facilities are really not good, the cleanliness is also not good, and the windows are drafty at night.

Great place if you want to stay in a haunted hotel

Amazing hotel. Quiet and so much fun to explore

I stayed at the castle one night for a work trip. It has its charms, and its draw-backs. The hotel halls were a little slim, the steps a bit steep, and the bathrooms (king rooms only) were tiny. The first floor had a damp, musty smell that was off-putting; it made me grateful to be second floor. The minifridge in my room was particularly noisy, so those who don't like white noise might struggle. Finally, there doesn't appear to be AC in the rooms (but windows open and there is a small fan) - use caution if you're staying in summer. Overall, due to the age of the hotel, it isn't a very accessible option. All that said, check-in was easy, staff were pleasant, my room was clean, and I didn't hear a lot of noise at night. If you need a simple (yet haunted?) place to sleep for a night while in town, and a bit of extra mobility and flexibility doesn't bother you, Manresa will meet your needs.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the hotel itself is pretty cool, nice piece of the local history. There were some noisy guests staying the same night as us unfortunately but I guess thats just unlucky. The view from our window at the front of the hotel was great!

What to say about Manresa Castle? Well, a few things come to mind. First off, the exterior of the building is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, that's pretty much where the beauty ended for us. The interior base floor is nice, and the second and third floors feature some quaint antiques, but there's an air of age that sort of lingers throughout the hotel experience. For instance, on the third floor, our room had a door with a large glass window that let light flood in at all hours. There was a curtain, but it was about as useful as a chocolate teapot when it came to blocking the light. And don't get me started on the walls—practically paper thin—resulting in our neighbors' television booming into the wee hours while we tried to get our seven-year-old to sleep. Other things that were notably paper thin: several pillows, the "comforter", and the toilet paper. As for the standard amenities, let's just say they were subpar. The fridge was fine, but the TV service was about as quick as a sloth on a lazy day, with a TV that took ages to get cranked up. The coffee machine? Laughably small, like it was placed atop the fridge as an afterthought—definitely not the designated coffee corner one would hope for. The bathroom felt like an afterthought as well, boasting 15-foot ceilings but with cracked plaster and paint it could cook some heat but had a showerhead that seemed designed for someone at least a foot shorter. As a six-footer, I felt like Will Ferrell in Elf, trying to navigate what was essentially a child-sized shower. And then there's the restaurant—a bizarre choice for a castle inspired by Prussian architecture, now with a Mexican food joint. Not that I dislike Mexican food, but it felt a tad thematically incongruous—like serving sushi at a cowboy-themed clothier. The food itself was generically mediocre, which didn’t help its case at all. Lastly, the hotel had a smell that was rather hard to pin down at first. Eventually, we realized it was eerily similar to Depends strange blend of elderly bodies and incontinence—the lobby and second floor had this peculiar, lingering aroma that made for quite the unforgettable experience. Bottom line? This hotel is okay, but it's not glamorous. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. If that's your speed - great! If not, be forewarned.

I’ve always been a huge fan of exploring random places and one of my bucket list is for sure visit a haunted location! From watching YouTube explorers to just random haunting places! I was so excited to be able to visit this place and everything was beautiful Def. Very vintage we stayed in kate room 306 and 302 the stories are amazing! I did capture a picture on my second night (child like figure) and shared with the people that were there we were all so amazed of it! Whole different vibe you actually just want to stay inside and eat at their Mexican restaurant located downstairs! I tried to wake up at 12/3am to see if iwould capture other stuff but sleep beat me up to it lol ! Had a good time forsure! PS! (I don’t know what to make of the picture of the ghost-like kid person etc) anyways enjoy! The whole experience is fun!!🖤

This is a hostel. Start with that and if you want to know more, read on. I would call this similar to a European hostel. The rooms are smaller, a stand alone mini fridge, no microwave, very thing walls and dilapidated furniture. The room stayed bright at night and you can hear everything from the other guests. There is no elevator so prepare to climb stairs. The mattress was old (according to the guide book they were last updated 20 years ago) and the blankets thin. The room did have a ceiling fan and heater though. The location is ok but you’re two miles from the town so walking isn’t going to work for most people. The staff is nice enough but they put out envelopes requesting tips. First off, I hate this practice. Pay your employees. Tipping cutler is inherently racists and unfair. But my true is they also announce they no longer offer housekeeping services!! What am I tipping???? The photo I’m attaching is the shower. It was so bad I almost laughed. The shower head is for people five feet or shorter. It had absolutely no water pressure. You can turn the knobs all you want but that will not generate enough water to get you clean. Two minutes in it also flipped to cold. The hotel has a restaurant on site but don’t go there. They do the immoral thing of charging credit card fees despite signing a contract with the credit card company saying they wouldn’t do that. They also charge a “leverage fee” though no one could tell me what that was about. A few additional notes. They have a policy that basically makes it impossible to check out early once you see your room. MANY rooms do not have a bathroom attached. MAKE SURE TO ASK. even if they say you have a bathroom, it might be down the hall. There is also no ac. It will be HOT in summer. After the first night I truly considered leaving early. I wish I would have. I hated the idea of losing money but this wasn’t worth it. I barely slept, don’t feel clean, and on my life this was one of the worst towns I’ve been in for food. Mind boggling. If someone opened an actual decent restaurant in this town, they would make a killing. Anyway. Respect yourself more than I did and stay elsewhere.

If you want a spooky vibe with a real Victorian feel, this is yous spot! AmberDawn at the front desk was amazing! Great views and clean rooms.
