What reviewers say

Visitors praise the historic charm of Manresa Castle, noting its quaint exterior and communal areas with original timber panelling. However, many guests complain about the small, dated rooms and issues with shared bathrooms, with some also mentioning thin walls and maintenance concerns.

About this place Manresa Castle Hotel

Manresa Castle is a hotel in an 1892 castle-style mansion on Cleveland Street, on the hill above Port Townsend, Washington. It was built as a private home and later used as a Jesuit training centre, which is where the Manresa name comes from. Rooms and suites keep an old-world style. It is a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue, and rates 4.2 from over 700 reviews. The building's age shows: expect quirky layouts and stairs. Port Townsend's Victorian downtown and waterfront are a short drive or a steep walk away. The Coupeville ferry from Port Townsend links to Whidbey Island and on to Seattle.

Our stay was very noisy. Lots of noise from adjoining rooms and from upstairs. We were on the second floor. The Mexican restaurant located in the building was outstanding. Friendly people and great food.

Nice castle hotel. Fun experience especially with the ghosts stories. Keep in mind it is very old

My friend and I had an excellent and relaxing stay. I will say that the sound does carry in the morning when people are getting up early and leaving, but the evening and night time are very calm and relaxing. The rooms themselves are lovely, the common areas are incredibly beautiful and tastefully done. It was wonderful to stay in a place with such historical but not overwhelming decadence. I would stay here again.

I like this place, but I have to put a disclaimer of... that it is haunted. Sure, I heard the stories of the history, the legends of sort, and what rooms you should go to if you want to experience the paranormal. Well besides the neat restaurant in great employees of the hotel got to talk to Apparently, the supernatural wanted to partake in the conversation. I am not joking .., i went around with my camera video recording. Thinking that I would be a paranormal investigator for a night or 2. What I didn't expect is the capture anything on video. I did and on all three nights not that I wanted to at all.. But I did. I love the old esthetic of the place. Once again, the patrons were amazing. Especially the front desk, they were great, but the nights can be a little rough. I literally have to give this place four out of five stars because I love the story that went along with this stay. Also I know managment will take a look at this and I would appreciate an email address so I may share a few video files.
