Beach Huts El Nido

The accommodation itself is very good: beautiful, well-equipped beach huts right on the beach, each with its own veranda. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and eager to find solutions to any problems. It's also a plus that the restaurant brings the food directly to the veranda – this works flawlessly. However, the surrounding area is problematic. Beach Hut F is located right next to the bar. From approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the bass from the music thumps constantly, causing the entire room to vibrate. In addition, waiters from the restaurant walk past the hut about every ten minutes and regularly use the area next to the bathroom as a place to sit during their breaks. The window there cannot be locked, which makes the situation even more unpleasant. After moving to Beach Hut D, things became significantly more relaxed in terms of music and traffic. However, there are still disturbances there: The area in front of the bathroom window is regularly used for phone calls, and fires are occasionally lit behind the huts. The smoke then drifts across the entire beach, into the huts, and onto the verandas. In conclusion: The accommodation itself is suitable and the staff are truly dedicated. However, anyone booking here should be aware that the surrounding area is quite busy and that a certain level of noise and environmental disturbance is to be expected.

DO NOT stay here if you value peace, privacy, or basic rest — unless you enjoy loud, trashy music blasting in your ear 12 hours a day. Yes, the view is stunning. The huts are right on the beach — and that’s where the good part ends. The rest is a mess. The room is directly next to the restaurant, which blasts loud, cheap-sounding music from morning till night. Not just “in the background” — I’m talking in your skull, like the speakers are glued to the wall. The sound quality is so poor, it vibrates through the room like a migraine. Don’t expect to relax, nap, work, or breathe without a beat dropping over your shoulder. The room itself is old and tired. Yes, it has what you “need,” but everything is worn out, used up, and decaying. The electricity cuts out regularly. The water pressure in the shower is weak and barely usable. The AC unit broke and made horrendous noise, and it took half a day to get it replaced. All of this while you're just trying to survive the heat. Privacy? Forget it. The local restaurant staff live behind the huts, and you hear them shouting, partying, blasting their own phones, smoking, walking right in front of your terrace — like your space is part of their hangout. You’ll feel like you’re living in a staff dorm, not a guest retreat. No breakfast is included, so I ate at the same noisy restaurant — and that was the biggest mistake of all. I got so badly food-poisoned that I could barely walk for days. I was sick, dizzy, weak, and completely ruined for half my stay. I needed time to recover even after leaving. This wasn’t just “a bad meal” — this was dangerous. And finally — the only saving grace: Marro, the manager. He genuinely tried to help me, soften the blows, and make my stay less awful. He deserves praise. Without him, this would’ve been pure hell. But overall? This place is chaotic, noisy, careless, and not worth the money or the damage to your nervous system. Unless you enjoy sleepless nights, broken appliances, and food poisoning, stay far away.

Very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly informed that our reservation had been canceled, even though we never received any prior notification. Instead, we were relocated to another hotel, which was significantly cheaper and of lower quality than what we had originally paid for. We tried to resolve the issue on-site, but received conflicting explanations. When we requested a receipt to confirm the actual amount paid for the new accommodation, we were only shown a general price list instead of an official document. This experience revealed a lack of reliability and poor customer service. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants assurance that they will get what they paid for.

An extremely overpriced stay. Don’t let the pictures fool you. It’s loud during the day? You can hear everyone outside your door, and the rooms are so gross. Why? Dead mosquitos everywhere! This is not as bad as the fact that there are still dozens and dozens of live mosquitos flying around these huts! My husband spent literally forty five minutes killing mosquitos by hand and tried blocking their possible entrances with a towel. Nope! We woke up the next morning to about 15 or 20 mosquitos in the room. The Front desk said there is nothing they can do about it. Now my husband is left with bites all over his face and arm. Terrible!

Alright, where to start. I would have given it a lower rating but because of location, I decided with 2 stars. We stayed here for 3 nights from the 25th to the 28th January. This cost us almost 20,000pesos. The quality for the price we paid was not worth it. First of all the tricycle drops you off at the big McDonalds where you can walk past lots of little shops, cafes and a gym to get to Vanilla beach. From Vanilla beach you have to take a left and walk along the beach to get to the huts. They are about a 7/8mim walk away. I had to carry my luggage myself as I didn’t want it dragging on the sand. You can probably arrange with staff at the hut to help carry your luggage. Going back, that’s what I did and tipped the staff member that helped me. We got there after 5 and were greeted by a pleasant staff member, Marro. He presented us with Beach Hut D. He gave the WiFi information and I must say that the WiFi was pretty good. We also got a welcome drink which was nice. On first inspection the room looks cute and clean but upon further inspection, you can tell that it is all superficial. There were many spots where previous people who had been staying in the room had squashed a mosquito and the stain was still on the wall. And don’t get me started on the mosquito problem. There was a whole hive of them. I was getting stung left right and centre. By the second night I couldn’t take it as I couldn’t sleep and asked for help but they said there was nothing they could do. I bought a mosquito repellent cream on my last night and that worked wonders, they didn’t come near me. The bathroom was supposed to be a safe space but instead I could hear the staff members right outside it like they were in the room with me. I’m sure they could hear everything too which was very uncomfortable. The shower was always cool, never hot or even lukewarm. I always felt a little unclean in the bathroom. The drain looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. The one time we asked for our room to be cleaned, we found that they only swept the floors, changed the towels and made up the bed. They didn’t even change the sheets. I knew it hadn’t been changed because of the blood stain from my ankle from the mosquito bites I was getting was still there. The most obvious and pleasurable thing about the beach huts was the fact that you were right on the beach. The sound of the waves was incredible. The beautiful view of the sand and sea, amazing. You could sit right outside on your balcony and enjoy the views.

Great Huts just by the Sea. Just renewed, good bathroom, A/C, great staff. Privacy is not the best once people pass in front all the time, once you are really in the beach, but not really a minus. I had really great time, VANILLA BEACH is the beat locatiom to stay in El Nido by far.

We found the location perfect, away from the city but still close. However, you have to walk a few meters (about 500 meters) across the beach, making it unsuitable for rolling suitcases. ;) Beautiful beach with a guaranteed sunset! The cottage was perfectly adequate and comfortable. The veranda is a plus. No breakfast.
