Hôtel Victor Hugo Nizza

It's an excellent hotel, great value for money. We were treated very well, everything was very friendly, I would definitely return! And they are pet-friendly.

We had a wonderful stay with friends. The room was comfortable and bright, and the service was impeccable. The hotel is ideally located in a quiet, residential area close to the city center and the Promenade des Anglais. We thank Marius and Gilles for their warm welcome and attentiveness.

Very warm welcome

We've been staying at the hotel every year since 2018, except the 2 years of covid. The conciergerie, Gilles, and now the dog, Marius, have made our stays very pleasant. Gilles is very helpful and knowledgeable about events and attractions in Nice and the area. To us is a home away from home.

Superb hotel, the rooms are spacious and clean. The location is ideal. Special mention to the entire team and especially to Ralouka who was incredibly attentive; she is absolutely charming. The service is quick and efficient. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and I will definitely return soon. Mrs. Souissi, room 57.

Since you didn’t reply to my email, I am writing my response to your reaction here: Greetings, I don’t understand your comment that versions of my reviews are different. I copied review from Booking.com and pasted it here. First thing first, I would like to sum up the whole situation once again for you. We didn’t accuse you for stealing 50€, not personally nor in review as you vindicated. However, our suspicion rose up as we were leaving France and found out that our IDs and credit cards have switched places. I pay very close attention to my money and IDs, especially in foreign country, so your comment that I should “think about the way I manage my money and my wallet” is completely inappropriate. We didn’t even mention 52€ that disappeared from bank account of my girlfriend, because it didn’t even occure to us that you could have anything to do with it. But as I mentioned, our suspicion rosed up when we realized that our personal belongings were moved with at your hotel. Regarding to the necklace of my girlfriend, again we didn’t mention it to you, but looking back at our stay, we realised what strangely suspicious things happened to our things during our stay in your hotel, so we decided to mention it in the review. It’s interesting that in your answer to our review you mentioned note above the fireplace. I did put it there, but never told you about it and you also said that cleaning lady nor you didn’t see it when you were looking for our 50€. So what really happened? We didn’t accuse your hotel once, so please stop acting as we did. I also hope that you will stop making excuses and tell us what actually happened. … (The hotel was very nice, friendly staff and great location. First problem appeared on second day, when 50€ dissappeared from my wallet, which i left in our room during the day. The next day, almost 52€ dissappeared from my girlfriend’s account and also her jewelry, which she left in our room when we went to the beach, was obviously touched by someone and it was thrown on the ground. We doscovered another unpleasant surprise during our way back to the airport - both of us found out that our cards and IDs had switched places in our wallets, which we left in our room the day before as we went to the beach. I’n not accusing anybody from the hotel of doing this, but it’s kind of weird… don’t you think?)
