Key West Sauna

Visited here and the guy behind the counter was lovely. Was nervous as my first time but he explained the way it goes. Looking forward to my next visit. Went again today and had an incredible time. Did have minor issue with my health. But the staff member on the desk helped me with it. If anyone is looking for a good time this is the place to go.

Despite the renovations, the sauna was dirty, empty and overpriced for what it offered... I wouldn't go back.

A complete turnaround for this sauna, which was on the decline. A warm welcome, a total renovation, and a very well-thought-out redesign of the basement (a little extra lighting in the hammam would be welcome, though) – everything is ready for a fresh start. Now all that's left is to attract new customers. Between its prime location and competitors that are seriously struggling, it should be a success. Go for it!

Greeted by a vulgar, elderly person who clearly lacked manners. The sauna was cold, empty, and filthy—avoid it if you don't want to catch bacteria or worse. Quick tip: leave one of your towels in a corner of the sauna if you plan to leave, because they like to charge you again at reception even if you return the same day. The experience was awful; we won't be going back. No need to say more about the receptionist, because at a certain age, there's nothing you can do for some people 😉 Furthermore, other reviews attest to the arrogance of the reception staff and the numerous thefts on-site due to the old, dilapidated lockers—just like them. Sunday, January 18, 2026: practically empty and of poor quality at 4 p.m. Never again! In the future, try to treat customers the way you would like them to perceive your establishment, because its reputation cannot be invented.

Sauna's atmosphere is very good but repection owner working is not behaviour shouting with clients. Im very disappointined im giving zero "0 " stars for behavior of owner.

First time here and very clean, a lovely and pleasant space. The hammam being completely dark might be a little disconcerting, but the other guests seemed to enjoy it.

I highly recommend the dark chocolate bars. I hope the steam cleaner can be used frequently, as the floors are mostly covered in protective covers.

The place isn't bad, but the man at reception is strange and unfriendly at all! He speaks to customers in a horrible way.

I agree with those who said the receptionist's behavior towards customers is catastrophic! I had a truly horrible experience with them! Avoid at all costs!

There is no other place like it in France. I LOVE it. It is the only reason I come to Paris all the way from Lyon. The sauna here (DOUBLESIDE) simply does NOT compare! At all! I'm Black and at Doubleside the few Black men that come there do NOT like other Black people. They are sellouts. But not here at Key West! Finally as a Black gay person I have a space where I can come and be myself and happily meet other Black men who PREFER Black people. I FEEL COMPLETELY AT HOME HERE. It was such a beautiful experience. The cleaning station is also extremely useful for tourists as well. I find that the guy at the front desk is this sweet charming older white guy. He was very warm and friendly to me and I wish him well in life. That's a real ally right there. The security guards are also cool people. I felt safe and happy. Whenever I go there, I manage to make new Black gay friends who are so sweet. All these bad reviews are coming from RACISTS who do not want Black people to enjoy themselves in France and have a safe space for ourselves. Of course, other people come too (white, asian, indian, whatever) and they are WELCOME. BUT! I find they are far more respectful towards us here than in DOUBLESIDE Lyon for example. As long as I live in France I will NEVER stop coming to Key West Gay Sauna. It's a beautiful experience for me each and every time. BLACK PEOPLE, FIND YOURSELF HERE. I see that the owner is making it clear in the comments that the sauna is "for everyone" (as is legally required) and it is indeed the TRUTH but I do hope that the owner(s) and staff truly appreciate their BLACK clientele to the FULLEST because we have been historically keeping this place ALIVE. I've never lived in Paris and I've heard from other Black people living here in Lyon that KEY WEST GAY SAUNA is THE place to be for Black people who prefer Black people. We invest our money and time into this establishment because we are so thankful that it exists. It's a beautiful safe space for us. Here at Doubleside in Lyon I've seen the white men sneaking drugs inside to use in groups in the locker room and cabins. I don't see that here at Key West maybe because the clientele is of different cultural values where drugs etc. Are concerned. That is one of the many ways in which I feel safer here. Also the pool is much better in my opinion. I love the setup much more. They also have screens there playing porn, my request is to please play more BLACK gay porn. And I mean porn with us in all roles and not just "top / actif" roles. We need to see representation for BLACK "bottoms / passifs" and BLACK "vers / versatile" people too. DOUBLESIDE Lyon NEVER does that but I already know that they don't care about their BLACK clientele. They only play porn of us in the "top /actif" role to cater to their clientele who enjoy such dangerous and dehumanising racial stereotypes used to fetishize us. I've written a lot and I could write a whole lot more but I'll stop here for now. Oh, and by the way there WERE condoms when I visited. They were just a bit hard to get out of the tube sometimes. You guys gotta fill up the tubes more for us to be able to get the condoms out more easily.

I recently visited this establishment and I will try to give an honest and transparent account of what I observed on a Sunday afternoon in March. The welcome was very pleasant. Upon entering the changing rooms, one immediately notices a strong presence of Black men, which I would estimate at around 90%. The lockers are plentiful and well-organized. In the basement, there is a bar, a freely accessible gym, a jacuzzi (which I didn't try), a sauna with new benches—although the lighting could be improved—a somewhat dated but generally pleasant hammam, where a little more lighting, even LED, would be welcome, as well as numerous showers. On the upper floors, there are cabins and a smoking room. The staff is very attentive and constantly working to clean and disinfect the premises, which is commendable. When I arrived (around 7 pm), the place was very busy: a rather young clientele, with attractive physiques. However, there was little interaction overall, probably due to the usual imbalance between profiles—a majority of passive partners compared to few active ones, the latter often being escorts. Their presence seems to be accepted and encouraged, and without them, the atmosphere would likely be much duller. The establishment clearly deserves 5 stars for its organization, but due to the lack of entertainment, I'm giving it 4. I would definitely go back.

Very disappointed, not many people, no atmosphere!! A real shame!!! The clientele was so-so. Although the welcome was good! The guy was very nice!! I'm not sure I'll go back!!!!
