Il Café Einstein Stammhaus è un'istituzione berlinese dal 1978. Si trova a Schöneberg, a pochi passi dall'antico quartiere gay della città, e questo caffè-brasserie in stile viennese è ospitato in una villa del 1878. Ha storia; ha buon cibo.
Offrono la classica cucina austriaca: zuppe ricche, schnitzel, strudel. Niente di sofisticato, solo piatti ben preparati e serviti senza fronzoli. Potete venire per un pasto completo, o solo per un caffè. Le sale sono tutte sui toni del crema e del bordeaux, con pareti rivestite in legno, un posto confortevole dove sedersi e mangiare.
Colazione, pranzo, cena, o solo un caffè veloce: funziona per tutte le occasioni. Ursula Bachauer ha fondato il locale, e ancora oggi si percepisce come un posto di quartiere, una vera istituzione berlinese che si trova per caso vicino ad alcuni dei migliori bar e negozi LGBTQ+ della città.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again when you reopen. This café holds many personal memories, and I hope to experience them again. Your quality is good, truly good. Surely it can't be that such a beautiful place won't reopen?! Berlin needs this place; Berlin doesn't need chains! So, does the state of Berlin own this?! Where is the willingness to make a sensible investment?!

The cafe looks completely different from the outside of the house. The interior is very simple, austere, and lacks any coziness or atmosphere. We went for coffee in the morning. It's very noisy inside, with waiters rushing around, but there aren't enough of them, so we waited almost half an hour for coffee and strudel. The coffee was okay, but the strudel wasn't great. Also, the prices are above average. We won't be returning...
I liked the atmosphere and good location. The coffee was very good and the service was attentive.
