A wonderful experience! I started my journey with MIT on December 1, 2022. Within 6 months, I was able to complete the psychological program and start testosterone! Dr. Nadalin was truly exceptional and very understanding! Dr. Alvisi and Dr. Meriggiola were equally fantastic. Maria Grazia always did everything she could to connect me with the endocrinologist as soon as possible to begin my journey. She was always available, and I will always be grateful to her. Ms. Parigiani is truly a wonderful person, always available, and truly warmhearted! I will always be grateful to you! 🙏🏻 For being "only" and the only clinic within an association, they do an exceptional job!

Come on, guys...let's be frank: I'm not a transsexual, but a gay man, but in the end, all these LGBT associations, which are part of the same parish, like Arcigay and others...have the goal of taking money, but in reality when it comes to actually helping a person in difficulty they turn their backs on you. I've written to Arcigay several times to ask for help in finding accommodation, a job, in short, help (considering that we are the most discriminated against) since that's what they get paid for. The result? I've never received a response from anyone. In short, what I've understood is that nowadays if you don't move on your own, you'll have to wait a while because no one, especially these associations (created only to ask for money, funding) will help you! As for the transition: well, either you have parents who can support you financially with therapies, aesthetic treatments, etc., or I see the road ahead as very long. In my opinion, it's better to go abroad where the LGBT community is taken much more seriously! OH, I FORGOT: I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE NOTICED, BUT LGBT DISCRIMINATION IS MOSTLY FROM MEMBERS OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY. SO, I DON'T THINK THERE'S ANYTHING MORE TO ADD! Try asking: try looking for a job in a place frequented by LGBT people, then see how they treat you.

November 14, 2023: Thanks to Cassero and its psychological counseling service, where Aura welcomed me, I was referred here to MIT. And so, on December 14, 2023, I began my psychological counseling (Nadalin), which ended on July 30, 2024, the date I began my feminizing hormone therapy. Personally, from the first time, I encountered empathy, a welcoming atmosphere, kindness, smiles, support, and assistance. This begins with the receptionist, who, by mutual agreement, schedules appointments for psychological and endocrine counseling, and health checkups with the psychologist and endocrinologist (Meriggiola). WhatsApp service is available for changes to service hours and days, or to request and obtain information. It also offers the following services: migrant counseling, employment counseling, psychological and emotional support, and legal counseling (if applicable, it offers free legal aid). MIT is also present on various social media with activist content for the entire LGBTQIA+ community. All I can say is thank you and feel deeply grateful to this counseling center. 🙏🏻✨❤️‍🔥 Dilara C.

A welcoming place for those in transition, with an endocrinologist for hormones, a psychologist to help you understand your gender, a lawyer for name changes and much more, truly top notch.

The receptionist referred to gender affirmation surgeries as "mutilating oneself" after I asked her about the transition process. I cannot trust and I cannot recommend to anyone an organization that can't even hire staff who respect the people they claim to help.

My experience begins July 4, 2022, and ends December 6, 2022. I'm MTF. During sessions, the psychologist judged me negatively because I didn't dress like a woman, didn't wear makeup, and had short hair. (I advise you to present yourself in line with your feelings, or she'll take you very badly.) She has very emphatic ways, and isn't the typical psychologist with empathy and calm. In fact, she doesn't let you speak, and above all, she doesn't understand you. Beyond the clearance, I'm speaking very humanly. When I told her I'd started hormone therapy on my own, she clearly told me I couldn't go to them, and implied that the clearance would never come. The climax came when I went to the session and the psychologist didn't have her schedule, and the secretary skipped my appointment even though I was in the waiting room, on December 6, 2022. When I heard the one with the next appointment called, I went to ask the secretary for an explanation. She told me that the appointment was now considered booked and that I should come back next time. I'm from Forlì Cesena, I take the train, I waste the morning for them, and that's their professionalism. Obviously, no one apologized, so
