Bar Tiramisu

Seriously, an unbelievable restaurant in Taormina. Casual, but fantastic, freshly prepared food that is out of this world. Highly highly highly recommend! Don’t miss it.

Lobster pasta (lobster linguini) was one of the best pastas I ate in Sicily! Highly recommended.

I've given it one star because otherwise it would have been impossible to write a review. We had a confirmed reservation for May 27th at 1 PM, and when we arrived, we found a "Closed" sign. An employee came out and, with difficulty, informed us that they wouldn't be open in the mornings, only in the evenings. To this day, I haven't received any explanation from management. We had to eat at a restaurant across the street.

So this was a highly reviewed place. I ordered the Spaghetti Lobster and 3 glasses of wines. This is a local place where Dario was very friendly towards all the Italians locals I guess except the foreigners like me. I had a great experience until the other staff shoo-ed me out after 1 hour of dinning. No explanation, no please, no manners, just the bill and the card machine right in my face. I would have understood it but there was no one waiting at that time. A restaurant probably not meant for anyone except local Italians which is a great thing. If they have communicated to me like a human instead of a direct bill in my face, which i didn't asked for (unlike in America). Thanks Chef for the delicious food but service requires training in hospitality.

They don't let you in just for Tiramisu and coffee!! The waiter told us we could take it away. We've had slightly cheaper and better versions elsewhere. (Don't say you came for coffee or Tiramisu when the waiter asks what you're there to eat!)
