B&B HOTEL Basel

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. Despite our late arrival, we were assigned a room facing the railway line, even though quieter rooms were apparently available. There was extremely loud construction and cleaning work on the tracks all night, making a restful sleep impossible. This was not mentioned at check-in. Breakfast was also disappointing: the service seemed overwhelmed or disinterested, tables weren't cleared, and the entire breakfast area was unkempt and, in some places, dirty. Overall, there is significant room for improvement in terms of service, cleanliness, and guest relations!

I adored the young lady at the front desk. She was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Clean, modern hotel with immaculate and comfortable rooms. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Hotel conveniently situated a minute's walk from Zeughaus tram stop which took us to the centre of the city in 10 minutes. Lovely buffet breakfast with plenty of choice and a reasonably priced bar which we used in the evenings. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Basel. Highly recommended.

Well it's a 3 star hotel. The size of the was well known it's fine for one person I don't sure about a couple. The person who designed the shower should get the "how not to design reward" It is absolutely impossible to use it without flooding the entire bathroom. If you somehow succeeded it means that you are repeatedly closing the tap even if you didn't want to. There is no key to room, you have a keypad with a code to enter. Breakfast is excellent. The room is clean. I know it might cost a bit more but a fresh roll of toilet paper might contribute to the cleanliness feeling. There is a line number 14 station very close, and it will take you to everywhere i also received a free ride ticket for my entire stay which is great.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. Before booking, I recommend reading both the positive and negative reviews carefully and paying attention to the detailed written comments. Our experience differed significantly from what we expected based on the information available online. Several costs were higher than anticipated. Parking was not included and cost €20 per night. The pet fee was also higher than the amount communicated to us before arrival. In addition, local taxes were charged separately. The parking arrangement was inconvenient. The parking facility is located several blocks away from the hotel, and the directions were only provided after check-in. As we arrived around 11:30 pm, this made the process more stressful than necessary. Communication at reception was difficult, and it took quite a while to complete the check-in process despite our wish to simply pay and get to our room after a long journey. The room was much smaller than expected from the online photos. There was no refrigerator or minibar, and the overall level of amenities was very basic. The bathroom also appeared to have maintenance issues, and the air conditioning did not function properly during our stay. One additional frustration was that we were not informed about the breakfast location or serving times at check-in, even though breakfast had already been paid for. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the location was convenient. However, due to the issues described above, I would personally choose a different hotel for a future visit to Basel.
