Il Brighton Pride è il più grande evento pride al di fuori di Londra, con circa 500.000 presenze nel primo fine settimana di agosto. Cuore della festa è Preston Park — vasto parco municipale a nord del centro — che ospita l'arena principale con i grandi nomi sul main stage. Tra le headliner del passato: Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Paloma Faith, Years & Years e Sophie Ellis-Bextor. La Pride Parade attraversa il centro il sabato mattina prima del festival principale, con migliaia di partecipanti da gruppi locali, aziende e organizzazioni. La Community Parade del venerdì ha un taglio più dal basso e meno commerciale. L'intera città si attiva per tutto il weekend: bar e club di Kemptown allungano gli orari con programmazioni speciali, il lungomare resta animato fino a tardi e Brighton diventa per 48 ore uno degli ambienti LGBTQ+ più concentrati al mondo. La popolazione LGBTQ+ residente (stimata al 10-15%) regala al pride un'autenticità comunitaria che lo distingue dagli eventi puramente turistici. Prenotare alloggio almeno 6 mesi prima — la capacità alberghiera è limitata e la città si riempie davvero per il weekend del pride.
