Just spent a couple of days in Hull from Scotland to celebrate a family members birthday. All staff we had interactions with were so pleasant and helpful. Our Saturday morning breakfast was even better with the help from Casey, Adam and the lovely Lucy. Lucy was so nice with my little girl, almost 2. She's a real asset to the team. Had a nice big room with a balcony which was overall clean but lots of marks and dints throughout. Wasn't enough tea and coffee and a smart TV would have been good.

From check-in to check-out, the staff were fantastic, especially Lucy in the restaurant. So friendly and helpful, particularly around my wife's dietary needs. The hotel is perfect located and we suspect we'll be back soon.

As others have said the staf are really friendly and accommodating, rooms are well appointed and have all the necessities in place. Definitely a good place to stay but also to see the rest of Hull's sights and sounds.

Could not fault the Holiday Inn in any way. Food was excellent, view from room was wonderful and all of the staff we met were exemplary. They deserve a great feedback.

Tired, dated hotel that albeit clean, isn't worth the last minute rates they charge. If you can get a room for £80 or less, it's nicez especially with the marina view, but I had to pay £154 for a night, without breakfast, which is a joke for the standard of the place. Peeling paint above the bath/shower, ancient heating/Aircon unit, blackout curtains that had mosaic moth holes throughout, noisy with road being right alongside. Generally speaking it's only worth a night, and only if the price is okay.
