Nice hotel, good service, and conveniently within walking distance of the sights. However, what is disturbing in a street-facing room are the noisy bars and restaurants across the street. Street disturbances late into the night are annoying for your sleep, especially if you arrive with jet lag!

Hello. My wife and I have stayed here multiple time in the last few years. I love this property. To begin, what a pleasure it is to meet the front desk. Faithful came accross very professional and very engaged with me. This means a great deal. Wonderful person to be the face of the front greeting guests, love her. The property is in the st.lawrence area with an abundance of food. The vibe is very hip and tasteful. We have 2 more booking this year and we can hardly wait. Our room was very clean and situated above the esplanade. Please continue the great work and we look forward to seeimg faitful again.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the stay at this Novotel. Very comfortable bed, excellent pillows to name a few high spots. Nice staff too.

When a Do Not Disturb sign is placed on the exterior door handle before heading out, I assume that the room will be left alone and that no one will enter. NOT the case here, when I returned the Do Not Disturb sign had been removed from the exterior handle and placed back on the interior door handle and the room and been rearranged. I felt like an invasion of privacy as my personal item where all out in the open. Considering the cost to stay here, one would expect better service.

Let me start by saying this hotel was beautiful, well appointed, and quiet. It was in a great location, the facilities were clean and the staff were all very professional and courteous. The beds were extremely comfortable, the lighting in the room was great, and the was good. I never sleep well my first night but I slept like a baby here. This may or may not be nit picking, but one of my pillows was dirty. But since it was one out of four it wasn't that big of a deal. I also noticed a few strands of hair that weren't my own but assumed they were most likely from the maid (best case scenario). I was so tired from a full day of working and very satisfied with everything else, that I didn't make a big deal out of it. That being said, when I mentioned it to the clerk at checkout, she seemed to be finding ways to try to make up for the inconvenience by offering a free breakfast (already had it so was too late) or a dinner drink (never used the first coupon provided at check in). I really appreciated the gesture and probably should have mentioned it sooner, but as I mentioned, was exhausted. All in all it was a great stay and would recommend it as well as return for a future visit.

Lovely quiet hotel in the heart of Toronto. All staff were very friendly & helpful. Shout out to the manager, who worked wonders to make it a brilliant trip. A great stay.

This is the third time that we have chosen to stay at this particular hotel, both on account of its atmosphere and great location less than 10 minutes walk from Union Station. On this occasion our arrival was severely disrupted by long flight delays but we kept in touch with the helpful front desk staff and there was someone there ready to welcome us and provide a smooth check in process even though it was 1.00 am by the time we finally arrived! The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, separate seating and desk and we particularly liked the large rainfall shower in the bathroom area. All professionally refreshed by housekeeping each day. Breakfast service remains excellent with a wide choice of different food types to suit all tastes, ably provided by the friendly and efficient team. The same area also acts as a bar and restaurant later in the day which we used for a couple of evening meals during our stay. Food and drink was of good quality and at reasonable prices, again supported by warm and welcoming waiting staff. Public areas, elevators, washrooms etc continue to be kept clean and well maintained. There's plenty to see and do within 15 minutes walk such as the Distillery District, the Eaton Shopping Centre, waterfront restaurants at Sugar Beach and the ferry terminal for trips to the Toronto Islands. If you need to go further afield there is easy access to the TTC subway and streetcar system within a couple of blocks of the hotel.

We arrived at 1 a.m. with our arms full of bags after a really bad experience with an Airbnb and had to leave. I decided to book a hotel online, even though it was already pretty expensive for the little budget we had left. When we arrived, the man at the front desk told us we needed to put down a $100 deposit. The problem: I didn’t know the PIN for my credit card, so there was no way for us to get the room and no money left to find somewhere else to sleep. He couldn’t even refund me and wanted to charge me for 1 out of the 2 nights because we “didn’t check in.” Keep in mind, we are two young girls (19 and 18 years old). We had just spent 8 hours on a bus to get to Toronto, so we had absolutely no way to find another place to stay. Every hotel that accepted debit was full, and the Airbnbs weren’t answering. We were literally in tears in front of him while he watched with no compassion at all. We ended up going outside, preparing ourselves to sleep on the street. Thankfully, the woman at the front desk offered to let us stay inside so we wouldn’t freeze and even offered us drinks. Huge thank you to that woman, and a huge fudge you to the man. We had to leave at 6 a.m. because we weren’t allowed to stay any longer, which is understandable. The next day, my mother had to drive 7 hours just to provide the deposit so we wouldn’t have to sleep outside. A huge thank you to the supervisor and the night shift woman honestly, without them we would have been in an even worse situation.
