Equality NoVa (formerly AGLA)

Equality NoVa is a volunteer-run LGBTQ+ organisation in Northern Virginia, founded in 1981 as the Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance (AGLA). It is among the longest-running LGBTQ+ groups in Virginia. Under its newer name it covers Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax, organising social events and advocacy, including lobbying local and state officials. It has no public office address in our data. Events and meeting places are posted on its website and social media. Washington DC's gay bars, especially in Dupont Circle and around U Street, are a short Metro ride from Arlington.
