Bellingham Lodge

False Advertising and Theft: A Warning Bellingham Lodge advertises a hot tub which is not in service. There is no posted information regarding it being out of service. Thus, when I chose Bellingham Lodge over other available properties in Bellingham it was because of the express reason of them having a hot tub. When I requested to cancel my booking and have it refunded, the employee not only refused and tried to convince me to pay MORE money for a different room, they refused to contact management. Advertising a service and not delivering it upon receipt of payment is, by definition, false advertisement. The amenities which I paid for were not available to me. Not only will I never stay at Bellingham Lodge again (previously a frequent customer) but I advise any who are looking for a good room in Bellingham to search elsewhere. This property will outright lie, double down on the lie, and do anything possible to avoid making right their own error.

I've visited this motel over a dozen times... The HOT tub didn't have Heat as advertised. They wouldn't refund the room at the desk. Told there was no manager or supervisor available to speak to. $ FOR NOTHING

This hotel is the epitome basic and generic. It's fine overall, but has no character or distinctiveness. I think it used to be a Travelodge, and that's what it still feels like. I guess Bellingham hotels are pricey since this was one of the less expensive options, and it still seems a little overpriced.

We were put in a smoking room to start. Then offered an "apartment". $40 more because they didn't have any other available rooms. The remote for the TV didn't work. The staff argued about who would fix it and decided they wouldn't because the maintenance guy quit. We slept in a room that smelled like rotting cauliflower. When cleaning up before we checked out. We found a bag full of vomit, 2 beers and a bunch of tinfoil under the bed. The front desk took note and said someone probably broke into the room prior because it wasn't normally rented out.

I stayed yesterday 10/3/25. The room was clean, the staff were nice. I can walk to nearby restaurants. I would stay again.

Motel is dated but it's fairly clean. Front end staff was great, friendly and helpful. Pretty easy to get around anywhere from here.

Ms. Moon, and Randy were such a great help to my BFF, and myself. I can't thank them enough, can't find better in Bellingham or elsewhere. Thank you Bellingham Lodge.

Exceptional staff, we had such a good time. Budget hotel, clean, great value for money. It exceeded iur expectations.

I’ve waited a few weeks to write this but feel the need to warn other families that this is NOT a family friendly hotel. And the templated response from the owner/manager to other poor reviews will undoubtedly be used here but with no real remedy to the complaints. My main complaint is the service. We had an emergency pop up minutes after checking in. Hotels.com did their best to connect with management for a refund but ultimately said the refund would be up to the manager’s discretion and that they couldn’t sway them to refund it. They suggested that I talk to them personally to request it. But they assured me it was possible if the manager approved of it. Before even turning the corner to the front desk to discuss, the manager was extremely hostile towards her employee. Voice raised so much I thought there was a domestic dispute in the lobby. After explaining the emergency, she denied my request for a refund, full or even partial. No discussion, just an abrupt no. We hadn’t been checked in for more than an hour in total, so I was surprised but would have settled for even a partial refund given the circumstances. Beyond the service, the hotel is extremely run down. Little effort is made to modernize or update it. It reeks of smoke, mold on the bathroom ceiling, sticky and stained carpets, and a general mildewy smell. There appear to be long term parked cars in the lot and an overly full dumpster. For anyone with children, be warned: this is not a suitable place for little ones. I sincerely believe this place needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Stay elsewhere.

Smell in hallways is atrocious. One pancake per person during breakfast though sucks. Like they’re really penny pinching one pancak per person rule. SMH

The staff were friendly and professional. The room was very dated, and could use some new flooring. The bed was comfortable. Except for the curtains, which could use a good cleaning, the room was well kept. The continental breakfast was okay. Mini muffins and real cream for coffee would be a good addition.

Staff especially Randy was very friendly and helpful. The only down side to the room is the carpet was hella dirty. It was soo dirty it was sticky. They need to wash the carpets !!! To the point we had to wash our feet every couple of hours. And the hall ways smelled really bad with weed smoke. But the room and bathroom was good. The beds was comfy. We definitely used their fridge and microwave. Would I stay here again. Yes but its because of the convenience.
