Su questo posto Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice

It was great to enter the childhood home of the GOAT too few know about. Although only 3 rooms are open those 3 rooms capture so much about Pauli. The stories outside the home provide even more. Whether or not you know about Pauli Murray, it's a wonderful place to visit to learn more.

I loved this guided tour and getting to learn about Pauli Murray. Kristin and Clarissa created such an interactive environment with opportunities to ask questions about Pauli’s life, their home, and their family (found and blood). When things I read in the exhibit made me curious, Kristin and Clarissa responded with enthusiasm and engaged in such rich conversations with myself and my friend. I came into this not knowing much about Pauli and left feeling moved by the endless roles they held throughout their life (poet, writer, scholar, priest) and the way queerness/transness and their faith coexisted. Overall, the pacing was great and I would recommend a guided tour to anyone but especially to movement folks!

We arrived early in the morning when the center was closed, but we were inspired by the history depicted on the signs on the front lawn. Definitely worth taking the time to learn about this amazing woman.
