Inn at Taughannock Falls

We booked a dinner reservation that required a $50-per-person deposit, and things went downhill from there. When we sat down, the menus they gave us had no prices listed anywhere. Because we had already paid a deposit, we asked what exactly was covered. The staff told us it included one appetizer, one main course, and one dessert per person—which made it sound like a set-price meal, exactly as they had described when we called to book. But when the check arrived, it was a shock. The total was three to four times higher than anything we expected. It felt intentionally misleading. So here’s my advice: don’t let this happen to you. Insist on seeing a menu with clear, printed prices before you order anything. Don’t give them any room to surprise you with inflated charges. I plan to share this warning every year during graduation season so others don’t fall into the same trap we did.

My husband & I came out to stay for a two night, mid week, get away & it did not disappoint. Every staff member we encountered was super nice. Check-in & Check-out was a breeze. We stayed in the Lake View bldg. which was lovely. Even on the rainy day, the view of the lake was great. We enjoyed having the keurig in our room with pods. You can walk from the property to the Taughannock Falls & access the trails. It was a short drive to some great local wineries & also great dining in Ithaca. We will definitely stay here again.

I’m sorry to say that I was very disappointed with our dining experience. I hope we just caught them on a bad night, but it took almost an hour for just our appetizers to arrive and then they were very overcooked. Another half hour later we finally received our entrees but they were lukewarm and missing several things that had been listed with them on the menu such as sauces, garnishes, etc. which the kitchen claimed were not meant to be there. I also noticed several tables being served the same dish I ordered but the presentation was much prettier, while mine seemed to be haphazardly arranged on the plate. Other tables around us were expressing similar complaints amongst themselves. The food was tasty but nothing especially impressive. Luckily the ambiance was pleasant for as long as we had to wait. I want to emphasize that this is NOT a reflection of our waitress in any way. She was lovely and attentive and we appreciated her service.

This was such a great place to stay for my trip to Ithaca. It is not far from Ithaca at all and provides so much more than a downtonw hotel. The facilities are beautifully deocrated and clean; the beds are comfortable in quite rooms. There is an amazing view in the lovely restraunt with a wonderful breakfast including fresh-baked French pastries and so much more. For the evening, the bar is well-stocked and very nice. For a work-out, there is beautiful hiking everywhere. Highly recommended!

This was the best stay we have ever had at the Finger Lakes! The Lakeview Spa room was fantastic with a beautiful view of Cayuga Lake. You even have a view of the lake from your in room spa tub. The Inn has been gorgeously renovated and is impeccably maintained while still preserving the historical elements of the property. Day or night the grounds and property are beautiful. The lighting at night is magical and their cozy fire pits are welcoming. They even provided blankets on the cool night we were there. The continental breakfast and dinner was great. The service, the staff, the chef, and owner really made our stay memorable. It’s easy to see this has to be the #1 wedding venue in the area. There are classy vibes around the property and the music being played around the Inn sets the tone of the experience you will have. Everywhere you look, you can see the attention that has been given to the place’s design. The owner thought of every detail and his Hollywood background shines. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Carl and chef Song. We spent some time by the fire learning about their backgrounds and how the Inn came to be. We heard fascinating stories and had great conversation. Be sure to visit the breathtaking waterfall and Park. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend staying here while visiting the Finger Lakes and touring the local wineries. Enjoy your stay! Kelly & Charlie

Located right next to the Falls with lake front views. Stunning. Super clean, historic but modern, super friendly staff, one of the best continental breakfasts on offer. Charming old bar.

As a vendor, photographing a wedding at the Inn at Taughannock Falls was such a joy. The setting is incredibly beautiful, with the falls and surrounding landscape creating a truly special backdrop. The day flowed seamlessly, the team was wonderful to work with, and there was no shortage of stunning moments to photograph. I would love the opportunity to photograph another wedding here again soon.

Perfect! Spent Christmas week here disconnecting from the city noise. Everyone on the Staff are incredibly friendly. Restaurant service was limited to continental breakfast due to holiday season but even that was excellent, well done by the Chef. Will plan to return in future. Thank you all for the great hospitality.

Everything about the place oozes class. Views, rooms and staff. We should have stayed longer but it was just an overnight stop off.
