A very lovely, modern hotel, in a great location. The service is really nice, and the rooms are pretty and clean. I recommend it.

The average bureaucracy has more warmth than this hotel. When a booking error led to an extra night on our reservation, even though we notified them within 24 hours, and even though we notified them over a month before our reservation, they won't allow a modification without penalty. That's bad enough....... The worst part: I made the grave mistake of believing "one-time courtesy" meant an actual courtesy. Instead, it turned out to be hospitality's version of a mugging: "We're happy to help you shorten your stay...for the price of another night's stay." It takes a rare kind of creativity to market a penalty as a favor. I'm drowning and they throw a life raft with an invoice attached. This hotel loves to speak in the soothing language of "guest experience" until a human situation appears. Then suddenly you're no longer a guest—you're a line item trapped a policy that outranks common sense, reason, and basic goodwill. Especially for a "five-star" hotel. They are prone to one-star judgment, so that'll be the review.

Honestly rooms were fine. Service fine. But I don't know how anyone would consider this hotel a "luxury brand" when you cannot get anyone on the phone. I stayed in May and have reached out for weeks now trying to get a copy of my guest folio. That's it! Just asking for a copy of my bill. Can't get anyone on the phone, or answer my emails, or respond to my voice messages. Sorry, I don't think you can call yourself a luxury hotel if you don't have humans to answer the phone live. @FifthAvenueHotel would never.

Bar experience was wonderful but the reception desk was horrible. The bar staff deserve 5 stars for their excellent, respectful service. As someone who appreciates hospitality design, I always support the property's bar before taking a few photos of the interior on my phone. However, upon my arrival around 18:50 on July 2nd, the receptionist standing on the right gave off a highly unprofessional energy. I was already feeling unwell from the outdoor heat wave, and both times I spoke with her, she made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. It felt as though she was complaining about my existence to her colleague rather than welcoming me. I gave a 3-star rating overall because the bar team was wonderful, but management seriously needs to address the front desk's attitude. I expect much better from a 5-star hotel and hope this behavior is corrected.

To celebrate our wedding, my partner and I stayed at the Pendry Hotel for two nights in early June of 2026. As a two Michelin key hotel, we had high expectations for the Pendry; unfortunately, it did not deliver. First, THE GOOD – rooms are beautiful; the wood finishes are warm and welcoming, the bathroom is understated but luxurious. I took more pics of the room and finishes than I did of the view. THE UNEXPECTED – There was a card in our room congratulating ‘Mr. & Mrs. XXX’ even though I very clearly stated in a call to guest services the day before that we were a same sex couple; not good. Room service was adequate, but the food was unimpressive, and not hot. Here’s a little thing, the paper products in the room are pretty low quality, like Holiday Inn Express quality. Finally, the room attendant neglected to restock the coffee service; not a big deal…but a big deal at a two-key hotel. So in summary, the Pendry is a lovely property, but it lacks the service level and attention to detail one would expect from a two Michelin key hotel.

I have stated at The Pendry multiple times ….. I like the location and the staff is great. I just spent 3 nights there ; aside, the Knicks were also staying there for the Finals. Anyhow, I am 68 and have travelled widely. I have never left a bad review but this will be the first. I was sitting on the terrace on the 4th floor , just reading a book, and was told by a staffer that there was a private function going on and I had to leave. Another staffer said the lounge and terrace were not owned by the hotel (despite the fact it is right off the 4th floor elevators. It is unacceptable for hotel guests to not generally have the run of the hotel, especially at this price point. And this turned out to be the canary in the coal mine: the door that used to lead to the coffee shop is now locked and one has to go outside now. The bar seemed to be closed the entire time I was there. The breakfast area is dreary and tiny. So, nice staff and all but the hotel is not what it used to be. I communicated that all to the front desk, and was told that the manager would contact me. He or she never did. I tend to stay at hotels that I like until I don’t like. For many years , the st Regis in midtown was my spot but that area is dead now. I have enjoyed the Pendry but I’d say there are far better options at this price and i will find another option going forward, as my son and godkids live there. Too bad!

This hotel is absolutely perfect. Dean, Luis, and the entire staff took care of me the minute I walked in. The room was immaculate with a breathtaking view. They thought of every little detail, and I’ve honestly never felt more taken care of. I booked through Chase and will absolutely be back.
