The Winchester Hotel

Cape Town gave me so many beautiful memories, and my stay at the Winchester Boutique Hotel was definitely one of them. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel like family. The front desk, bellman, waiters and waitresses at the onsite restaurant, everyone was so warm and welcoming, and they went out of their way to celebrate me throughout my stay, especially for my birthday. Beyond the hospitality, I loved the hotel itself; beautiful boutique design, a pool, amazing breakfast, a spa, and a location close to the Sea Point Promenade and Central Cape Town.Bbeing able to step outside and run a few miles at sunrise along the ocean with those mountain views was everything. If you're planning a Cape Town trip and looking for a hotel that feels personal and welcoming, definitely choose this one. Thank you guys for making my stay and birthday special. Im very grateful.

We loved our stay here room was great be aware if you have a sea view room you are on the main road so you will need ear plugs Great shower and comfortable bed Breakfast was just ok I expected better from this hotel Staff standing around chatting when they should be giving us our coffee or taking our order for hot breakfast Once they forgot my order they had to chase up Next day ordered poached eggs on toast came without toast you just don’t expect this from this level of hotel The bar here was great and made lovely cocktails liked sitting out on the terrace watching the sunset the staff here was great and helpful Reception staff were helpful and also the doorman and bell man We were happy with our stay just breakfast staff let it down

Unfortunately only had breakfast at the Winchester, which was great. Good food, good service and very friendly staff.

Overall, a decent hotel in a good location, with friendly and helpful staff. The one major caveat is connectivity. If you’re here purely on holiday, it may not matter, but if you need to do any work, take calls or reliably stay online, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The Wi-Fi is really not great, and mobile reception inside the hotel is also extremely poor. Whether it’s the thickness of the walls or simply the location, it seems to be something of a 4G/5G dead spot, so using mobile data as a backup isn’t really an option either. For a leisure stay, the location and service are good. But if you have any business or productive work to do, this is simply not a great place to do it from.

Simply the best. Great position - friendliest and most helpful team - nothing is ever too much trouble.

I have previously stayed at the hotel, it was a fairly good experience(4 star). The reason I am going out of my way is because of the breakfast! Breakfast is my weakness and it is definitely one of my favourites and top buffet in Cape Town, I drive 20min as often as I can - I hope it stays this good always.
