Punta Priola (Addaura)

Punta Priola, on the Addaura coast below Monte Pellegrino north of central Palermo, is a rocky stretch that older gay guides list as a night-time cruising spot. We don't recommend it. It is an exposed public place with no lighting, staff or facilities, it is isolated after dark, and sex in public is an offence in Italy (Art. 527 of the penal code), punishable by heavy fines. If you go to the coast here, go in daylight to swim. For meeting men, Palermo's indoor gay bars and sauna are legal and safer.
