Klub Tiffany is the gay club of Ljubljana, housed in Metelkova mesto, the former army barracks turned autonomous cultural zone just north of the railway station. It is run by Kulturni center Q, part of the ŠKUC association, and has hosted queer parties, DJ nights and cultural events since the 1990s. The lesbian-and-queer club Monokel sits in the same complex. Expect a mixed crowd of gay men, queer locals and visitors, cheap drinks and a no-frills, DIY setting. Our listing shows Fridays from 22:00 to 05:00, but nights follow the event calendar, so check Kulturni center Q's site or social pages before heading over.

I was denied entry based solely on my appearance, which felt discriminatory and unfair. The bouncer made an assumption about me and my friends before even speaking to us. I fully respect that this is a queer space—I am part of the LGBTQ+ community myself—but that didn’t seem to matter in her decision. What was especially disappointing is that my friends, who came with full respect for the space, were also judged and turned away. They left feeling singled out and unwelcome, which goes against the inclusive spirit a queer venue should aim to foster. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that entry policies are applied in a way that reflects true inclusivity rather than stereotypes.
