Madame Jasmine

Madame Jasmine is a small bar on Rambla del Raval in Barcelona's Raval, decorated like an old cabaret with fringed lamps, mismatched furniture and a lot of kitsch. The crowd is a mix of queer locals, neighbourhood regulars and travellers. Drinks are cheap and the music is pleasant without taking over. It's rated 4.4 from about 600 Google reviews. It works for an early drink or a long chat before heading to the Gaixample bars, about 20 minutes' walk north. The Raval gets lively late at night, so keep an eye on your phone and wallet.
