Hotel Unique

Hotel Unique is a design‑forward luxury hotel by Ibirapuera Park that openly welcomes gay guests. Ruy Ohtake’s building looks like an upside‑down arch, porthole windows puncturing its curved façade. Inside, the décor leans more toward sleek minimalism than the flamboyance the exterior suggests. The rooftop Skye bar and restaurant sits on a red‑tiled pool that mirrors the skyline; locals and travelers alike line up for a cocktail while the city spreads out below. Ibirapuera Park is a five‑minute walk away. A ten‑minute car ride gets you to Avenida Paulista or Rua Oscar Freire, and Congonhas Airport is roughly 15 minutes out. Gay bars on Rua Frei Caneca and Largo do Arouche are a quick taxi hop. With a 4.8 rating from almost 19,000 reviewers, the hotel’s reputation is as solid as its concrete arch.
