Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town

Twice i have stayed here each time woken by a fire alarm. Once 2230 thebother 0420. Left outside to freeze in a cold rain this time. When I checked in, electric locks dont work with mobile app. Bar is 5 seats never room to sit. At happy hour well youll maybe get 1 drink and you wont sit at the bar. Greatvlocation, it could be outstanding but owners dont want to put in the money for a safe properly operating fire alarm or a respectable bar.

The hotel itself would be perfect if not for so many school groups staying here. One of the kids must’ve pulled the fire alarm at 4 AM and everyone in the hotel got evacuated into the rain and 50° weather. As we were heading down the emergency exit stairs, I overheard one of the kids saying this was the second time this had happened during their stay. Because of how big the hotel is, it took ages to clear the alarm. Zero communication from the hotel staff and we only knew it was safe to go back in by asking a random firefighter. The fire alarm is not their fault but catering to disruptive groups and not communicating with guests is absolutely on the hotel. Would not recommend this property to anyone seeking a restful stay.

Location is fantastic..near the Metro and other public transportation, as well as within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. However, the parking garage is ridiculous with some spaces being so small or awkwardly shaped as to be unusable. The wide open center of the hotel is a lovely feature but it is very, very noisy. Noise from events, from the breakfast area, from people watching football at the bar echoed throughout the hotel until well.into the evening. During our stay, kids were loudly running around the hotel, up and down the elevators, etc., and staff seemed unconcerned.

We had such a wonderful stay at Embassy Suites during our family trip to Washington, D.C.! The entire staff, from the front desk, the security guard, Anni at the omelette station, Max the manager, all were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit! The complimentary breakfast was absolutely amazing and such a great way to start our busy days of sightseeing! The hotel was comfortable and made our family getaway even more enjoyable. We made so many special memories during this trip, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. We cannot wait to return! 10/10, highly recommend!

I’ve enjoyed coming to this Embassy Suites for many years, and we always look forward to seeing Aidan at the bar. He is friendly, welcoming, attentive, and consistently provides excellent service. He has a great personality and always makes us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. Seeing Aidan is truly one of the things we look forward to when we visit, and he is a wonderful part of the Embassy Suites team.

Everyone was so nice and friendly, but one employee stands out from the rest. If you go to breakfast, look for Anni at the omelette station. Not only will she make you a fantastic breakfast, she will brighten your whole day with her beautiful smile! I got the chance to chat with her and she is one amazing lady! (Shameless plug for her - they are allowed to accept cash tips!)

We’ve been coming to this Embassy Suites for about 15 years, and Aidan is one of the people who makes it such a nice place to come back to. He’s always friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to, and he takes great care of everyone at the bar. It’s always nice to see a familiar face, and Aidan definitely makes our visits more enjoyable. Great service and just a really nice guy.

I’ve been coming to the Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town for almost 20 years, and one of the biggest reasons I continue to enjoy staying here is the people. Aiden at the bar is the best. He’s been here for most of the time I’ve been coming and consistently provides outstanding service. He’s attentive, genuinely friendly, great with customers, and always makes you feel welcome. In the morning, Anni at breakfast is awesome. She’s incredibly personable and always great to talk with while she makes your omelet. It’s those kinds of personal interactions that really stand out and keep you coming back.

Aidan and Kia are the best bartenders on the planet. I have known them for 10 years. They take care of me at any whim that I need. I love the facility. The rooms are always clean. The staff is lovely. The breakfast is wonderful, but Aidan and Kia definitely on point.
