Hilton Alexandria Old Town

Roberto at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. I felt welcomed warmly.

When I needed a last-minute hotel before my flight out of DCA the next morning, the Hilton Alexandria called (figuratively), and I answered. One can’t ask for a better location, just a few blocks from the start of Old Town Alexandria and directly adjacent to the bus station and metro line. The area felt safe. And as a full-service property, you’ll find all the full-service amenities expected at a Hilton or Marriott or Hyatt Regency or the like. Service was wonderful, and the room I received was quiet and well-appointed. Showing its age perhaps, but nothing major. The staff gladly let me store my heavy bag behind reception while waiting for my room to be ready in the afternoon. Enjoy this lovely Hilton!

I travel extensively for work and have stayed at hotels around the world, so I have come to appreciate that a truly memorable hotel experience is rarely defined by the building alone. It is defined by the people. My stay at Hilton Alexandria Old Town was exceptional because of the hospitality and professionalism of the team, especially Roberto, Gray, Fatiha, and Manager Paola. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with genuine warmth, kindness, and respect. Roberto, Gray, and Fatiha at the front desk consistently made me feel welcomed and cared for, and Paola’s leadership was clearly reflected in the level of service throughout the hotel. The room service was excellent, the accommodations were very comfortable, and the overall experience felt closer to the personalized attention one expects from a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton-level property. What impressed me most, however, was the human element. Great properties can be found in many cities, but exceptional people are what transform a hotel stay into an experience you remember. My sincere thanks to Roberto, Gray, Fatiha, Paola, and the entire Hilton Alexandria Old Town team for making my stay so enjoyable. Not often you go to a hotel anymore and get exceptional service! From the moment we arrive until the time we left, I truly felt like a guest. Location, Atmosphere, Rooms, Value above my expectations. TREY at the front desk was outstanding when my wife and I checked in. We had sine issues with the AC in our room not working properly and he was able to accommodate and switch us to another room with exceptional customer service. Trey has a great attitude and I hope he gets some type of incentive for my review. Hire more employees like Trey who truly values and provides exceptional customer service!

I visited Hilton Old Town in Alexandria to visit a terminally ill sibling in Dec 2025, and June 2026. In Sept 2026, I returned for the funeral. The staff remembered me and were amazingly supportive. Fatiha, and Tsegereda at the front desk treated me like family! They remembered me from previous visits and asked about my sibling. They were so friendly and supportive. Jules, who worked at the hotel lobby Starbucks remembered me as well and also was supportive and amazing!! Finally, I was shocked that Said, who was the hotel bartender, greeted me with the same drink I ordered on previous trips! I was treated like royalty from the staff. It was so nice to have the staff support during this difficult time. Even though my visits to this hotel were months apart, they remembered who I was and asked about my sibling! The service from the staff at this hotel was above and beyond what I have ever experienced from any other hotel I ever visited! They all definitely deserve some type of recognition from the Hilton corp. for the way they reached out to me during this difficult time!!!

We had a good experience at the hotel during our 2-night stay. It is ideally located with the subway station which is located across the street. Our room looked directly out onto the station but we did not hear a single train. The breakfast is decent. The staff was very good.

We stayed at this Hilton property from August 15-19. The front desk was always well staffed with two people on duty at almost all times and no line to wait even though it had several groups there. Room was spacious and elegant with a beautiful view of the King St station plaza. Housekeeping was very effective rove. Hotel has a great gym and choice of grocery store, Starbucks or onsite restaurant or bar with a 24 hour diner nearby and a nice restaurant across the street.
