Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

Excellent hotel just a few minutes' drive from Harbor Village and the pier/downtown area. Convenient and free parking is available around the property. The hotel is welcoming, with a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast room is very spacious, with outdoor seating available. The breakfast is very good, in line with other BW Plus hotels. The pool is also lovely. Highly recommended!

Gave it a five star even though there's room for improvement. Attractive property that appears to have been turned over recently. Glass water wall just inside the entrance. Nice touch. Friendly, efficient staff. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you Liz. Thank you, David. Good job! The room was clean. Well stocked with nice new towels. I liked the big bottles of soap, conditioner and body wash. Hot water came out immediately. Only a shower but that's okay. Microwave was a little small but the fridge was a nice size. AC worked good and was not too loud. But, they need to upgrade to a split system. Three different types of coffee. Room was a little tight but everything else made up for it. Breakfast was delicious. Usual choice of bacon, eggs, sausage, waffles. Not as expansive as Holiday Inn Express but close enough. Nice custom coffee machine close to the front desk. Jacuzzi and small pool. Was clean and well stocked with towels. Located in a nice area, just north of the pier And south of the harbor. An In and Out across the street. Oh yeah! NOTE: When booking ask to be on the side where there's no construction noise in the morning. I gave it a five star even though there's room for improvement. The reason I gave it a five star is because the place was clean and organized and the staff was very friendly and efficient. This usually means the assistant manager Is really switched on. Her name is Griselda and I'd like to meet her someday. Things to improve: Card readers would not always actuate. Our room and the back door by the pool. Ac needs to upgrade to a split system so it'll make less noise. Juice machine in the dining hall was out of order. Add water machine next to juice. Dark colors in the room and lighting issue. Small rooms. You should run with lighter colors. Bigger mirrors, whatever it takes to make the space look larger, lighter and brighter. And now the nightmare: The TV system is a dysfunctional mess. Trying to use both remotes without a reference card and the cable system is like out of the '80s. Taking 3 or 4 seconds to change channels. We give up on it.

Saved our butts when the condo we rented was 100 degrees upon arrival. I called this Best Western and we had a room within minutes. They were also kind enough to secure our reservation despite me not having my credit card during the phone call. Rooms were clean. AC was cold. Pool was nice and well maintained. Breakfast was well stocked. Staff was lovely. Thanks for rescuing our vacation, Best Western!

Wonderful service, very friendly, clean rooms and clean hotel, great breakfast..however our mattress was terrible! They couldn’t give us another room, just offered us a comforter to put on top of the mattress. ☹️

less than 1 mile easy walk to beach. quiet, comfortable and modern. Breakfast isnt great, but its a BW so thats standard. Of course that doesnt stop the usual herd from wolfing down. Its best just to grab a banana and coffee from here, skip the rest. Carlos is great at the front desk. Modern interior and lobby, very friendly housekeeping and clean rooms. Also a small gym. Free parking which is a bonus. Lots of simple eateries around (in n out, del taco, mini-marts, starbucks just opened nextdoor. Its a no-brainer for top choice to stay here without getting blasted to oblivion. Tons of kids as usual, so ask for TOP floor to not get stomped to death. Windows open slightly, A/c unit works very good not that loud. Shower pressure is weak, probably to save water.

Great stay at Best Western Oceanside Palms! The location is unbeatable. It is walking distance to shops, grocery stores, and restaurants, and close to Legoland which was the whole point of our trip. Despite being so central, the room was surprisingly quiet. Bed was comfortable, air con was nice and cold (a must in summer), and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast spread was generous with plenty of options. Only downside was the carpet in our room felt a bit grubby, but otherwise a great home base for anything you need in Oceanside.
