Holiday Inn Oceanside Camp Pendleton Area

The front desk staff are so nice. My room was clean, I am glad I chose this hotel.

What an overpriced disappointment!!! We made a reservation over a week in advance yet upon check in there were no rooms ready so we had to wait for the housekeeping staff to clean a room. Once we finally got into the room we decided to go enjoy the rooftop lounge and were completely underwhelmed with the lack of attention and maintenance given to the space. There was absolutely no shade (contrary to pictures on the website) and the patio furniture was not only dirty but they didn’t even have cushions. The pool area is extremely small with inadequate space for the amount of rooms/capacity of the hotel. We will never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially since the room rates are so expensive.

I liked the rooms but can see how some might feel that they oldist

Great location, received a handicap room without requesting and water kept over flowing in shower. Swing and grave staff could be friendlier.

The accessible rooms are great for wheelchairs, nice and large. The only complimentary anything is coffee, unlike most other locations, there is a pay restaurant sometimes. The pool is tiny and closes at 8. There is a roof you can stand on, sit on, but it's nothing like advertised on any site. Expect disappointment between website descriptions and reality, they are pretty far apart. The beds were decent, so if the only thing you want is a room, maybe a couple tv channels, toilet and shower, you'll get that at least.

It's a wonderful hotel, it is surrounded by bigger hotel so you are unable to see the beach only more hotel room windows..

Me and my 3 friends stayed here and unfortunately had a very unprofessional experience. To start off, about a month prior to staying here I called the hotel to add a few days to my reservation if possible, and the lady who answered the phone just couldn't possibly comprehend what I was trying to do. She put me on hold about 6 times and in the end hung up on me mid speaking. At first I didn't mind, assuming she wasn't properly training/ probably new and it's stressful trying to do something you're unsure of how to do, so I shrugged it off. (Eventually I figured out getting more days on our reservation, besides the point) When we arrived the staff was fine, they seemed stoned out of their minds which honestly does particularly bother me as long as they're still capable of doing their jobs. Unprofessional but I get it, we're in California. Had a few stressful conversations with front desk about payments / 100 dollar fees for having 3 separate reservations for one room, it was both my bad for poorly planning the reservation but also I don't really understand why we couldnt just extend the reservation instead of having to make 3 separate ones and then have to pay 3 separate 100$ fees- whatever, it's just dumb policies and stuff not really staffs fault for the most part. We end up leaving and suddenly have a 150 dollar fee for supposedly having pet fur in the hotel- we absolutely did not have any animals in there. When we called asking about this they said there's absolutely nothing they can do. Overall felt extremely unprofessional and like their staff had no idea how to do their jobs. Would absolutely not recommend, additionally their prices were on the high end compared to other hotels in the same location. Learned a lot of lessons this trip lol. Good luck Edit: they never refunded the 3 separate 100$$$ fees that the employees said we would absolutely get back, by the way. Will never be staying here again whole shabang felt incredibly scammy

If I could rate this 0 stars I would the staffs are very unprofessional. After my bf had paid for a room at this hotel they never mentioned that I would have to pay an additional $100 dollar fee for damages otherwise I could not sleep there. Never mentioned any of that while on the phone. Very misleading and I recommend no one to stay here while visiting Cali. They are very rude, misleading and the room smelt like vomit. When I laid in bed the sheet fabric were very uncomfortable and my skin felt very itchy.
