This is my review for mantra on Bond Sydney I have been here before and loved it. Everything was great. We went fir the gay Mardi Gras and we had a wonderful time. The accommodation just sets it off, so relaxed and everything you needed. But today, 18 May 2026 & the way our economy is, I had a big letdown. I nearly booked a room a queen suite with a sofa for two adults and a child who is seven sounds great. I thought I’ll go with this cause I wanted breakfast included Parking and free cancellation if needed.. What stop me? You ask? The Parking this time it’s all about first and best because they only have a limited amount of parking so I put it towards them. I’m coming up with a family. I’m traveling on the road. I get to Manor on Bond. I go in to booking and ask for a car space what happens if there’s none??? Oh there is Willsons parking…. WHAT? What is wrong with the motels hotels in Sydney today? It’s taking me all day because they’ve got all these special rates happening going online and you can’t even hook up. There’s some thing that it just plays up so you call them.& you get the run around. Never mind it’s just potential customer. They will wait or call back. Also to explain my frustration to the lady at reception a uhum,uhum,uhum You got trained well, NOT. Thank You Mantra On Bond, Sydney I didn’t go with you after all, maybe if the manager Melissa would like to contact myself or Mantra/ Peppers would to find out what went so wrong.

Have called left messages for Mellissa who will not take my call or call me back. Which is emblematic of the sort of customer service you can expect from this property. Service levels have gone down over the years and certainly not a 4 star property.

I checked in at the beginning of May and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment. The room included a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, a spacious living room, and a very comfortable king-size bed – a fantastic experience! I especially loved the bar counter in the kitchen. It had a large workspace, allowing me to work on my laptop and charge my devices simultaneously – so convenient! Enjoying breakfast while watching the light rail go by was very relaxing and therapeutic!

We had a wonderful time staying again at this hotel. My son and I even managed 2 swims in the revitalised pool area even though winter is around the corner. The pool isn't heated but the weather was unseasonably warm. We did note that the bbq and the spa were both out of order which seemed odd after just having lengthy renovations on this area. My wife and I were celebrating 28 years from our first meeting this month, hence the 2 night stay, and the management gifted a really, really nice bottle of WA sparkling rose wine which we very much enjoyed along with other goodies and a lovely handwritten card so big props and thank-you's for that! As I am a Diamond Accor member I had rung early and requested a room upgrade if possible and the hotel came through with the goods so that added immeasurably to our stay due to extra room for 3 adults. Staff were all nice and we tried the restaurant after its change to focus as an Italian based eatery. DONT MISS THE BREAKFAST, IT IS AWESOME!!! You will not be disappointed. All guests were having issues with card readers in lifts and for their rooms and we were informed they were all going to be replaced with in a week so fingers crossed for that. Thank you to Barsha for extra help getting into our room and to basement parking on leaving. We have booked to return for 3 nights for my birthday in July, we love the great location with light rail stop right outside front doors and hotels close proximity to circular quay and centre of town as well as the lovely staff. See you then guys!

We have stayed at this hotel now three times for a few days from interstate. It always lives up to expectation….the staff are always extremely polite, professional and efficient. The apartments are always spotlessly clean with absolutely no need to wash plates etc before using. The breakfast staff are bright, bubbly, polite and efficient. The breakfast is always delicious. It is an amazing location for all public transportation. Overall I could not recommend it highly enough….we will return!

Too much building work zones surrounding hotel

Do you want to experience a wonderful hotel? If you want to experience a wonderful hotel where there is no cleaning for 4 consecutive days out of a 6-night stay, and where I have to clean up everything myself—from towel changes and dust on the light fixtures to even the trash—then please make a reservation. Even if you complain to the front desk, this hotel treats guests like dirt, refusing to provide service under the pretext of the Anzac Day holiday. I would not recommend this hotel to others. Since dust is not cleaned in various places, such as on the dining table lights and lamps, those with respiratory problems should avoid this room.
