Love love Mantra 2 Bond Street, it is my favourite hotel to stay at in Sydney, hands down. Service, location, rooms, team friendliness, breakfast and Chai latte is the best in town. Sweet added touches of a bottle of wine and a cold face mask in the fridge was just divine! Thank you, see you again soon!

Just spent four nights at the Mantra on Bond in Sydney CBD. We booked a two bedroom apartment and studio room. The studio was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment with lovely welcome treats and drinks at the Allora restaurant and bar. The hotel staff went to the extra mile to help us celebrate my Aunts 80th birthday. We came back to the room to a cake, a lovely card and other treats. It was such a wonderful surprise for my Aunt. The hotel is ideally located with a short walk to Circular Quay and Wynyard station. The light rail is outside the door. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The Restaurant /Bar Allora provides a good breakfast selection, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you to the teams who helped us make a birthday celebration even better.

The staff were very friendly and genuinely tried to help, which was one of the better parts of our stay. However, they appeared to be under-trained and the hotel seemed very understaffed, especially at reception where a lot of guests appeared to be having issues. The room was generally clean, but the cleanliness lacked attention to detail. There was dust along the skirting boards and in the corners of the carpets, so while it was not dirty overall, it definitely needed a more detailed clean. The apartment itself is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation. There were a lot of scratches and marks along the skirting boards and plasterwork, and the rooms looked quite tired. On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable and there was a good selection of pillows. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, and the kitchen was well stocked with a cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and everything you would need for an apartment stay. Another big bonus was having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment, which is very useful when staying in the city. Unfortunately, we had ongoing issues during our three-night stay. The TV remote did not work, and staff came up on four separate occasions to try to fix it, but it was never resolved. We were also not offered the option to change rooms. Our swipe cards also kept locking us out of the room, and we had to keep going back downstairs to reception to have them reprogrammed. This did not appear to be an issue with the cards themselves, but rather the hotel’s system repeatedly treating us as if we were checking out each day, even though we were booked for three nights. Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was also disappointing, with a very small selection of food available. Overall, the only reason I would consider coming back would be because the staff were friendly. Apart from that, the hotel needs a lot of TLC, more staff, better training, and serious maintenance.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mantra Bond Street. Location was perfect - very central and the room was comfortable and quiet. I stayed in a studio which had a kitchenette and great facilities
