ITC Narmada is the city's big luxury hotel, on Judges Bungalow Road in Vastrapur, near IIM Ahmedabad. ITC's own page lists 291 rooms and suites, an outdoor pool, the Kaya Kalp spa and five restaurants, and puts the airport about 15 km away. Vastrapur is in the newer western half of the city, so the old city and the riverfront are a 20 to 30 minute drive. Gujarat is dry: ask at the desk about liquor permits. Mainstream hotel, not a gay venue, though large chains like this are the easy choice for same-sex couples.
