Taj Skyline Ahmedabad

Taj Skyline is a tall glass hotel on Sindhu Bhavan Road in Thaltej, the far western edge of the city where Ahmedabad's newer restaurants and cafés have gathered. Room counts vary by source, from about 300 to 315 after a second phase was added, and there's a club floor with its own lounge. Taj puts the airport at around 30 minutes by car; the old city is further. It's a good base if you'd rather spend evenings on Sindhu Bhavan Road than in the old town. Mainstream hotel, not a gay venue.
