Vulcanus Sauna

The most fabulous sauna to visit particularly for older men. Thomas, the owner and Paul were on duty when I visited. Such fantastically friendly men in a friendly Sauna. It's spotlessly clean, has wonderful food and drinks, vegetarian option too. Horny clientele, who aren't shy and are also chatty. A great Saturday here. Please go and support this brilliant place!!💖

June 26, 2025: The following review, based on a visit on June 9, 2036, and verifiable card payment using the real name mentioned here, is documented, and there was also an email exchange with the sauna operator. On June 10, I wrote the detailed, but unfortunately negative, review below. On June 11, I received a defamation complaint from Google, which was accepted on June 12. On June 25, 2025, I received another defamation complaint from Google for the exact same reason and was now asked to submit supporting evidence. Here's the text from June 10, 2025: A small sauna in the style of the 70s, lightly renovated, with communicative queer men who weren't just looking for intimacy – I haven't experienced such a friendly atmosphere in the larger saunas, but I also didn't expect it. However, this important social aspect, a unique selling point that would be good for marketing, isn't enough for three or more stars. Even as a blind person, I quickly noticed that other facilities smell less unkempt and that sitting in another steam sauna feels cleaner. The lounges could be warmer, and perhaps the opening hours aren't ideal for attracting working people who wouldn't come until 8 p.m. or later. The food offered at the bar is overpriced and more palatable even at a discount supermarket. Our stomachs weren't happy with the slice of cake or the potato salad with open-faced sandwiches. As friendly and welcoming as the people and the establishment are, the owner loses its three-star rating for hygiene (crucial in saunas and bathing facilities), food quality (essential for a longer stay), and also for value for money. Yes, €40 for entry, two drinks, and something to eat isn't something you usually get in Cologne, but if we come home feeling tense despite the good social interaction, we'd rather spend €60 per person next time. It's a shame, but apparently my partner and I are too demanding in this regard.

I can only say it's a lovely, cozy sauna. You feel comfortable there and can easily connect and chat with nice people. The food is delicious. The sauna deserves 5 stars. Best regards

We feel very comfortable in this sauna and always get our money's worth. The staff are all very friendly, and we always feel welcome.

Was in Cologne just for the day and had read previous older reviews and yes it is for older mature men and those that admire them. The facilities are more than adequate for what you expect in a small sauna. The gentleman at the check-in was extremely friendly and spoke English and explained the facilities and showed me the different rooms. My experience was more than I could ever have imagined or hoped for.
