The location is very central. It only takes a few minutes by subway from the main train station. Access with the code was straightforward. The room was very clean and spacious. It was equipped with almost everything you could need. The bathroom had everything: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and body lotion. Unfortunately, I couldn't use most of it because I have sensitive skin. The kitchen is also fully equipped. There's even a microwave. Free water was also provided. The room was cleaned daily, which I didn't mind at all. I found the breakfast quite adequate. I would have liked a wider selection of dishes. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied with the hotel and would definitely recommend it!

I can absolutely recommend the Numa Hamburg St. Georg to everyone. I've stayed in numerous 4- and 5-star hotels, and this one is every bit as good – quite the opposite, in fact! The value for money is simply phenomenal. Everything is brand new, the rooms are beautifully designed and a very comfortable size. The bed was extremely comfortable and ensured a restful night's sleep (the pillow wasn't quite to my liking, but that was perfectly forgivable). I was particularly impressed by the smart concept without a traditional reception desk. You simply receive a code that grants you access everywhere, or you can conveniently use the app on your smartphone to open the doors. It's incredibly straightforward and modern. If you're looking for stylish and well-designed accommodation in Hamburg, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be back!

We found the location good. It's one stop on the U1 subway from the main train station. The next subway line is within easy walking distance, so you have good access to Hamburg without having to constantly change trains. The rooms are large and clean. Very quiet, comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was rather minimal. If you weren't constantly checking your phone, you wouldn't have to keep hearing from other guests that they've run out of bread rolls or other items. Otherwise, the staff was friendly. However, getting into the hotel is a bit of a challenge. You need to have some basic technical skills. I don't think everyone can manage it. Everything can be opened with a code or a mobile app. Beforehand, you have to scan your ID card with your phone's camera. It doesn't matter if the ID and the entered name match. I would stay here again. However, if you have trouble sending a picture on WhatsApp, I would strongly advise against it. In the worst-case scenario, you'll find yourself standing in the rain in front of a locked door.

The rooms were generally okay and quiet at night. However, check-in and reaching a real employee when a problem arose proved to be a major issue. Our room wasn't ready until very late in the evening. We were offered a refund, but it was never processed.

Everything was perfect. The location was excellent, customer service was very easy to reach, and the app is so well-designed. You can open all the doors with the app after check-in—no more annoying room keys. We are really very satisfied and would love to come back.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. I even received a birthday present! I liked that the room had a decent kitchenette. Breakfast was good, but seating was a bit limited (and large round tables perhaps weren't the best choice). The door codes worked perfectly. We booked parking, and I would have appreciated a better description in the FAQ of how to pay for the parking ticket, as we had to search around a bit before finding the ticket validator in the hotel.

I usually stay at the Motel One directly opposite when I’m in Hamburg but noticed the new kid on the block so gave Numa a try instead. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was huge, very clean, the amenities in the kitchen (coffee machine including ample coffee capsules, selection of teas, oat and regular milks, cutlery etc) and freebies (2x bottles of water, 2x beers, a packet of crisps, a packet of fruit gummies, 2x lemonades) were a really nice bonus. We booked the studio with kitchenette and city view and the view certainly doesn’t disappoint. Luggage lockers were really handy. Comfy bed. “Essentials” cupboard below the lobby really great to re-stock on pretty much anything you might need. A lot to like here! My only (fairly nit-picky) critiques: signage in the lower levels was pretty poor and you’ll open random unlabelled doors trying to find things. I’m not a huge fan of the 5 digit code needed to open everything (lobby, elevator, room) as I’m not good with numbers so had to constantly find my email with the code in it. The air conditioning in the room was pretty lacklustre (but windows open). Having nobody on site is a bit of a shame, especially when it comes to checking in, which was all done online and a bit of a faff (taking photos of your ID etc). If the price is right, we’ll be back. I just really hope that standards don’t slip and the place gets looked after well and they keep up the good work.
