Hostel Stayokay Maastricht

Very friendly welcome. The room and bathroom are simple and tidy.

Comfort room: The view is super beautiful, but the room is stuffy (no good ventilation system) and the window could only be opened a little (looks like a door but is a window). Maybe nice for one night, but not for 4. The doors on the hallway side slam shut, causing you to wake up quickly every time. Quite annoying. Staff really helpful and friendly. Location beautiful, on the edge of the city by the Maas. Outdoor terrace view of the Maas is beautiful. But due to the heat and the lack of a cooling/air system in the comfort room, I was unable to stay in my comfort room in peace/comfort.

Accommodation in the surrounding area was expensive during my stay (around 40,000 yen), so being able to stay in a single room for about 10,000 yen was a great deal for me. The breakfast was simple, but with bread, cheese, salami, ham, yogurt, cereal, and a boiled egg, I personally didn't get tired of it. There was also something like hummus. It wasn't on the ocean side, but it had good access to the city center, and I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you!

They were very helpful, they let me check in a little late, stored my luggage, and even reserved a bed for me. Impeccable!

Comfortable rooms, nice staff. Breakfast is very basic. Nice location right next to the river and the city park, and 10 min walk to the center.

A fantastic starting point for the start of the Pieterpad from south to north :))

The hostel is modern and well equipped with a nice view on the river and a decent breakfast. However the atmosphere is kind of dead which is hard for solo travellers like me looking to meet new people. Also there’s no common kitchen.
