The location is great. You sleep in a cabin on board a ship, so don't expect too much luxury.

Amazing location and very cozy shared amenities. Great staff. The toilets make a horrendous sound that instantly wake you up.

Nice to go for a drink

Before I begin, I'd like to mention that if this were a hotel building, my review would only get one star. For the concept and execution, I would give it 10 stars if I could. We received a very warm and friendly welcome, and all the staff were extremely nice. We were there earlier and still got our online booked cabin/accommodation at the upper stern (No. 9). Thank you! 👍 The cabin is for freshening up and sleeping. Amenities: a small porthole, a slightly larger window facing the street, a mirror, a power outlet with an adapter for 2-3 outlets, a sink, a towel, a wardrobe that isn't really a wardrobe, a heater that doesn't really work, a tiny shelf, and a trash can. That probably sounds terrible, but it really isn't. We thought the cabin/accommodation was fantastic. It was something completely different from a star-rated hotel. And honestly, it was exactly what we had imagined. ... Everyone should do this at least once! 😂👍👍👍👍👍 Let's just say, we'll be back. The toilets and showers are located inside the ship. The toilets are quite small... but everything works! 😂👍👍👍👍👍 The showers are larger but only suitable for showering. Awesome! 😂👍👍👍👍👍 The ship is in good condition overall, clean, and a little adventure with some minor hazards on the way to the showers and cabin. On the day of departure, there's luggage storage, so you can enjoy the day in Maastricht without your luggage. Breakfast: We have our usual spots outside the ship. But I'm sure it's good on the ship/boat. Thank you so much... see you again!

Barge, very clean, good price-quality ratio, the room has the bare minimum, the staff is helpful and very nice.

A very nice, quiet, and cozy hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable.

I booked Botel because of its great location on the Meuse River and its proximity to a large park. The availability of a single room was also convenient for me. Unfortunately, my stay at Botel was cancelled due to heating problems. However, this was perfectly resolved by upgrading me to Hotel Alex, a 5-minute walk from the station. I still had a wonderful holiday. Service like this deserves a big thumbs up from me!

This hotel is quite outdated. The online photos were rather misleading because the rooms were incredibly small, and a double room had a bed that was more like a single than a double. It was also extremely cold in the rooms, and according to the reception, the heating only worked between midnight and 5:00 AM. The bathroom fixtures are poor. The showerhead was hanging by a piece of tape and kept falling down during showering. The breakfast was extremely overpriced for what you got. The receptionist we spoke to was not very friendly. Staying here in the winter felt more like camping than staying in a hotel. The only positives I can give it are the location (near the city center) and the charm of sleeping on a boat. Furthermore, I highly recommend the Botel undergo a thorough renovation.

The location and view are very good, but it's not very comfortable. I would say it's a suitable place for a short stay.

Beautiful location and close to the city. A nice place to stay, small rooms and small beds, but cozy. (Maybe not ideal if you're taller than 6'1"). The shared bathroom facilities were clean.
