Terrible experience. Went with wijnspijs but inside smelt wet and mildewy, food was not great and wine was bad. All 3 of us only had a sip before refusing any more. Service wasn't bad.
Excellent experience and excellent service
We spontaneously booked a night at the Botel with our children (4 and 7) and all four of us were absolutely thrilled! It's a super cute boat, with a great design, a warm welcome from the very friendly staff, a wonderful atmosphere, and a truly special experience for the kids. Yes, the cabins are tiny and the bathroom isn't up to hotel standards, but that's the appeal of being on a boat – it's something really unique. If you're looking for standard amenities or expect spacious rooms, this isn't the place for you. But if you appreciate individuality, a great location, a lovely atmosphere with friendly people, you'll have a fantastic time! We'll definitely be back.
I had a pleasant experience. Period!
Disastrous room, rotten bed too short, too narrow, lies with feet against the wall, a single blanket for two people, it stinks, nowhere to put stuff, if you want to shower you have to kneel down, in short, the worst room I have ever seen.
Rooms small, bed too small, not clean. Room smelling of sewage after flushing toilet. Noisy. Very poor interior. Staff does not speak a word Dutch. There seems to be a limit in the amount of breakfast you can eat because they started taking away things from the buffet while I was still eating. Overal not okay for 150 Euro per night. On the other hand the location is beautiful, and the boat has lots of quaintness.
Very cozy, nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I can imagine it can get very chilly at night during the colder months, but there was a heater and a wool blanket available in the closet, so that is manageable. In terms of sanitary facilities, it is what you can expect from a boat: small and cozy, but clean. We are fans!
