Hovima Santa Maria

A well-located hotel, close to one of the liveliest areas and a seafront promenade perfect for an evening stroll. The staff are excellent, attentive, and friendly, making you feel right at home. The buffet offers a wide variety of high-quality dishes, from traditional to modern cuisine, catering to all tastes and with changing themes throughout the week. The staff, waiters, and cooks are always attentive, constantly replenishing the food and ensuring that trays are never empty while guests are eating. The other amenities, such as the swimming pool, are also very good, with clean and well-maintained water and facilities. There's also a small laundry room for guests to use independently, which is very convenient. It's a shame to end such a wonderful stay on our vacation… If we return to the island, we will definitely book with Hovima again.

Shandra on reception was excellent and went above and beyond both on arrival and as we were leaving giving assistance with our every need… a true ambassador for the Hovima brand.

Superb. The service, the location are perfect, and the food selection is huge! They even brought my wife a complimentary bottle of champagne to her room for her birthday. We were pleasantly surprised! We'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time!

I refuse to believe that these reviews are real, they don't deserve a single star, everything is very old, you don't have water in the room, bad smell, horrible outdated furniture!!!!!!!!!!

The hotel is situated up small hill, the staff were very friendly and hotel clean. Nice quiet spot, short walk to beech, loads of restaurants with nice food and friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned every day except Tuesday and Saturday as we were told on check in. We had breakfast included and food was good. They had music every night on Mon and Friday there was two lads playing called Philharmonics they were brill played all sorts of music.

I stayed at the Santa Maria in March 2026. The one bedroom apt was spacious and clean. The pool area was great always sun beds available and a heated pool and bar area was also nice. The restaurant was good something for everyone and never over crowded, staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Excellent cuisine, wonderful staff, quiet location

Great hotel 3rd time here the food in the restaurant for evening meals have improved beyond belief All drinks are of good standing and reasonable prices. The staff are amazing. Pool area excellent
