Travelodge Birmingham Central Bull Ring

Booked a double got a single . Bin men arrive at 6:45 . Linen van at 8:35 . Plus today is 30 degrees . Open the window . Lovely non stop noise from what sounds like generators . Close the the window- sweat - no air con . Absolutely the worst night in a hotel ever

I stayed at this Travelodge for one night, arriving 19 May, for work purposes. The hotel is about a ten‑minute stroll from Birmingham New Street station and moments away from shops and eateries. Upon check‑in, I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff. I stayed in one of the Super Rooms on the 5th floor. The room itself was spacious and the usual Travelodge affair — clean, with a comfortable bed. The floor was very quiet (as the Super Rooms should be). However, the room faced the front of the property, directly opposite a multi‑storey car park and on a relatively busy road, so external noise can be heard when the window is open. The room was also very hot during my stay. There’s no air‑conditioning here (although a fan is provided), so having the window open was definitely needed — which of course meant more noise. The shower was okay: no complaints about the temperature, but the water pressure was rather weak. For one night, I managed to sail through and it was perfectly adequate, but I probably wouldn’t stay here in the peak of summer as I imagine the rooms could be quite uncomfortable. It would help if the bedding/duvets were lighter rather than so heavy.

Second time staying in this hotel and we enjoyed our stay! All of the staff are always friendly and accomodating. Thank you so much!!

Good points- location & check in staff great. Room clean. Decent shower. Bad- hardly slept due to forklift truck noises (sounded like metal being dragged around) from 3am. Being that I’ve paid for a place to sleep this is unfortunate.

Great hotel and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast is wonderful. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. I was disappointed to find when I arrived that they have a policy to no longer hold bags before checkin. I got there several hours early and had to pay 15£ to get in my room early or drag my suitcase around until 3pm. That would have been good to know early - it may have swayed my decision. The wifi was good, but would knock me out several times during the day every day. Overall it was great for what I needed.

Quiet room, clean and well serviced. No lunches served here so if you’re working shifts that may not be suitable for some also evening meals are not served until 1700 otherwise a good hotel.

The reason I chose Travelodge is the price. But end up the WiFi fee, late check out fee, dog staying fee, etc actually is more expensive then Holiday Inn which next to the station. I would rather chose holiday inn next time when I come Birmingham again. The shower water is not good, sound blocking is horrible than you can hear the Birmingham Bell ring all day, the carpet is dirty. The moist smell make me sick. I would give a five stars if I have only paid 60 for the whole staying, but end up I spent 130, which I rather go somewhere els

Short stay here with my girls for a few days shopping, good location in regards to the mall and the train station, homeless/ drunk people around but I didn't feel unsafe. Breakfast was basic enough convenience food, anything that was cooked and left to be kept warm, was that, just warm not hot. Room was clean and bathroom was clean but dated. Staff were friendly though. Note: you can't arrive early and drop your bags, they don't hold luggage, apparently that came into effect the morning of our arrival. We also had issues with the water in the bathroom for the 3 days we were there but management did give me a part refund.
