Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre by IHG

Great location across the street from Cardiff Castle and walking distance to several restaurants. Parking was easy but can fill up on busy days.The breakfastst was good.

It's a holiday inn. Does what it's supposed to do. Clean, comfy. My only negative was no usb points in the rooms. However they do have them in the office area. Opposite the castle, next to the rugby stadium & 10 minute walk to Utilitia stadium. Staff were absolutely lovely & helpful.

The hotel is located in the center of Cardiff, right next to the castle. Paid parking is available at the hotel. A payment terminal is located both in the parking lot and at the hotel entrance. You can also pay at reception. Check-in is very efficient and pleasant. There's a restaurant opposite reception where breakfast is served. The rooms are accessible via elevators. The announcements about doors opening and closing are a bit loud. I assume that if you have a room near the elevators, you can still hear them. Mine was a bit further away. The room was very large, as you can see in the photos, and it had everything you need. A very comfortable bed, a wardrobe, a table, an armchair, and a desk. There are also two bottles of water, a kettle, and a selection of coffee and tea. The Wi-Fi works fine. The bathroom is also fine. I would just caution against the very hot water. The room is quiet. Mine faced the street, but it didn't bother me at all. The breakfast is typical of this type of hotel. There's something for everyone. I was satisfied. I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Located in the city center, the room price including breakfast is approximately 500. Very clean, I recommend it.

Friendly staff. Greeted by Said, whom checked us in and provided a good view and quiet room. Breakfast great. Bar lounge good place to relax over a few drinks. Location is perfect. Opposite to Bute Park and 2mins walk to Castle and City centre. Onside parking great too. One suggestion to the hotel is to make available a loading/unloading bay at the entrance so that easy for guests when check in or out.

Fabulous location opposite Cardiff Castle. Parking available for guests. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food. Comfortable clean rooms. WiFi & TV great. Always a warm welcome from Said who ensures a smooth check, a nice catch up & remembers my name. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
