Wharf Chambers

Wharf Chambers is a workers' co-operative members' club and music venue on Wharf Street in the LS2 quarter behind Leeds' shopping district. Run as a not-for-profit with a well-known safer-spaces policy, it has become one of the city's most reliably queer-friendly independent spaces, hosting drag, cabaret, club nights, gigs and community fundraisers alongside its regular bar. Membership is a nominal one-off fee taken at the door. With a 4.6-star rating from hundreds of reviews, it draws a young, alternative, LGBTQ+-heavy crowd and is a cornerstone of Leeds' DIY and queer scenes beyond the traditional Lower Briggate bars.
